Story
Oh my heck this boy!! Xander Lane will for sure keep you on you toes in the absolute best way. He is goofy, loving, full of personality, and will always keep you entertained and laughing. He's the type of dog that doesn't even necessarily need to be doing anything, just existing and he'll still make you smile with the cute little expressions he makes. One of my favorite things about him is how happy he is all the time and of course the way his tongue peeps out of his mouth. He instantly makes us smile and we know he'll make you smile too. Watch his video here: https://youtu.be/MG2VrOkorno?si=lfTSvRujHmhikXsz Xander Lane is a pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 46 lbs and is full grown. He is the perfect fun size, not too big and not too small. He is exceptionally dog friendly and loves to make doggy friends. He is best friends with an 80 lb male that is just as goofy as he is and they love playing together. He also met a massive cane corse who is triple he size and he wasn't intimated by him or anything. All he wanted to do was play with him and Xander even took a correction from the big guy for playing too rough and did beautiful with the correction. Xander would love to be adopted out to a family that has another dog that he can play with and romp around in the back yard with. He also would do best in a home with a backyard. He loves to be outside, rolling around in the grass and just living his good ole doggy best life. Xander is medium energy that will require exercise and mental stimulation. He's not a marathon runner nor will he require that much exercise but a good romp in the yard, short run in the neighborhood, and I'm sure would also make a great adventure companion in the mountains. He will need to polish his leash skill and learn some basic obedience manners but he is treat motivated and eager to please. Which will help make any additional training that much more enjoyable. To our knowledge, he is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once in his forever home. We are willing to test Xander Lane with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
Let me tell you about this super special gal, Toots McGee. She is the absolute cutest and has the personality to match! She wins the miss congeniality contest by far. Not to mention she's cute as a button and she's teeny tiny! One of the first times I ever met Toots she immediately melted into to me and rested her head into my hands and was instantly giving me kisses. She absolutely loves affection and believes any affections is good affection. Especially booty scratches, she loves to lean into her people and tilt her booty towards you asking for those booty scratches. And oh my heck this girls face is oh so squishy!! Watch her personality here: https://youtu.be/yzQOEYk3yWU?si=nkhrdBqa-OlxPy-Y Toots McGee is believed to be a Bulldog/Staffy mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 52 lbs and is full grown. We do not believe she is going to get much bigger if at all. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Toots is very dog friendly and this girl loves to play! Her play style is definitely on the rough and rowdy side and very typical of the bully breed. She tumbles, bulldozes, plays chase, rolls, and she'll tackle you with kisses to end her play time. She also did really well with a smaller dog that was about 25 lbs and the did great together. The smaller dog is use to more rough and rowdy play as well and didn't mind her play style. Toots isn't play all the time, she knows when to be calm and from what we can tell she has shown to have great house manners so far. Which makes us believe that she is potty trained. Although she may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once in her forever home. Toots would do best in a home with a backyard where she can romp around, smell the roses, and simply enjoy the fresh air. She also would love to join you on walks in the park! She's a social butterfly and would love to go explore with you. Toots is very eager to please, super loyal, and treat motivated! All things that will help make any additional training that much more enjoyable with this girl than it already would be. She is a joy to be around and is the type of dog that will instantly make your day brighter. Sawyer

Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Sawyer is a “Pocket Bully” born in September 2018 with a cleft lip, cleft palate, and spina bifida. He is currently eating and drinking safely on his own and we don’t believe his cleft lip/palate will require any surgical intervention. Sawyer will always need a little extra supervision to make sure he doesn’t eat anything dangerous for him, and will never be able to safely eat wet or goopy foods like canned food, peanut butter, yogurt, or any other liquids other than water. But otherwise he is expected to live a long, healthy life. The spina bifida causes Sawyer to be incontinent and to have some weakness in his back legs. He can walk and get around very well, but he will be in diapers for the rest of his life. He is a very happy, spunky pup and is friendly with humans and other dogs. He needs a committed home willing to give him the extra care he needs to thrive. Sawyer has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and is also micro chipped. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our online adoption application at www.uaaf.org. Story
This goofy meatball is Peanut Butter (PB to his friends). He is around 3 years old, just under 40 lbs. and came to us from an overcrowded local shelter. He wasn’t doing well in the shelter and needed surgery for a cherry eye and some training in how to be a good dog. BP has been staying with our friends over at B-Hyve K9, who are helping him get some training that he so desperately needs. So far, he’s doing very well with his training classes. PB will need to be an only pet. He is a very sweet boy, but he loves his humans and isn’t really willing to share. PB would do best in a home without a lot of activity and without small children (teenagers and older, please). He’s doing well with his house training, too. To make sure he’s as successful as he can be in his new home B-Hyve K9 has offered 6 lessons to his adoptive parents as a follow-up, to help his new family continue down the positive road he’s on. PB is quite the character and is looking for a quiet home with just one or two people who will give him the love, attention and training he needs to be the best boy he can be. We are looking for a family willing to continue his training with B-Hyve K9 and improve his quality of life. PB has had his cherry eye repaired, has been neutered, is up to date on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and he is also microchipped. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an application on our website (uaaf.org). For more information, call/text Maryjo at 801-809-0602 or email maryjokorb@gmail.com.
