Story
I few notes from a staff member that took Henry home to see how he is - Henry is an awesome dog once you give him a chance, ZERO accidents, and he really just wants to be by you. He does nothing wrong, except cries when you leave him, but he would love his people and that is the only reason why he cries as he just wants to be by you. While I worked my job from home on meetings all day he slept right next to me and was perfect. He even walked excellent when we went out. In the office he had "excited pee" in a home he has not had that at all!! Once he adapts to you coming home he is calm. Hi, I'm Henry! I'm a 1-year-old American English Coonhound, and I weigh about 77 pounds. I am a big friendly guy who loves to cuddle the people that I love. I can "sit" and "shake" on cue and would love to learn other commands. String cheese is my favorite snack, and I am really good at catching even the small pieces you throw to me. I am potty trained, but I like to come inside pretty quickly after I'm done doing my business. That's right! I am a coonhound who prefers to be indoors rather than outdoors. I guess you could say that is one of the fun facts about me. I can't wait to meet my family! Henry's adoption fee has been paid by a generous sponsor. He is available now. All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, micro-chipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heart-worm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Due to the construction of our state of the art facility, none of our pets are on site, they are all located in foster homes at this time. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile. After we review your completed survey we will contact you by phone or email within 72 hours or less. We're primarily a volunteer organization, so we appreciate your patience. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sundays and Mondays and will not be processing any applications on those days. Do get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey: A PCH adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH cannot guarantee any pets availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). Counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents via a meeting app). We do require that adopters discuss all questions before pickup via phone or email in order to minimize direct contact with our staff/volunteers at the time of adoption. After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system* *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and leash to pick up. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Drive-in adoption! Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the Pet Central Helps semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Adopters should pull up to the curb in front of the facility. Adopters should stay in their vehicle.
