Story
Hello. My name is MOJO (Mehraban) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Golden Retriever/Alaskan Malemute/Shepard mixAge: 3 yearsGender: MaleWeight: 30 kgHeight: 80 cmHighlight(s): LOVES KIDS!, tripaw, tolerant, loving I am quite the gentleman, as I love to be around kids.Rescued in the Middle East from a cruel attack. I don't know why, but one day a group of men attacked me and stabbed me in my right foreleg. It was in fact very painful, but I am so glad to have escaped that mean village. I finally found a place to hide and stay away from people for quite some time until some kind individuals found me. By the time I was rescued though, it was too late to recover my injured leg and as a result it had to be amputated. So now I live as a tripaw.Surprisingly, I still trust humans and let them pet me. I seem to be good with other dogs (no idea about cats.) I am not protective about my food at all and in fact enjoy eating while being around kids as they are petting me.I like to be decorated with flowers by kids! I know I look cute and photogenic!I would love to have a relaxing home with a loving family who have kids. Surely it doesn't hurt having a bit of good Mojo around the house, right? Grin. Energy Level: Moderate I get along with:Dogs: YesCats: unknownKids: A BIG YES! Fears: unknown/none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Training: SomeLeash skills: No. Please be prepared to train me.House trained: Yes. Please be prepared to help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes: Tripaw. Might need some physiotherapy to improve mobility issues, but at this point it is not a main concern.I have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $700.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. ##1570718##

Story
G'day. My name is DORIE (Dorla) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Golden Retriever/Lab mixAge: 4 yearsGender: femaleWeight: 25 kgHeight: 55 cm Dorie is very loved by her Canadian momma, but has to be rehomed due to health reasons. Here is what she has to say about her sweet girl: If you love being greeted at the door every time you come home with a smiling, tail-wagging dog with the biggest paws on the block, then please meet Dorie. This sweet, playful Golden Retriever/Lab cross loves spending time lounging around the house and having a spot to sleep in every room. She loves playing with tennis balls and durable stuffies. Dorie is an independent girl who can keep herself entertained with toys and puzzles, but would also benefit from having a playful friend around the neighbourhood to help her socialize more.  She is smart, and understands some basic commands (sit, lay down, shake a paw.) We have been working on recall and she does well on leash. Having a strong prey drive, Dorie will chase after small animals (including cats and small dogs). So household devoid of a cat or other small animals is needed. Dorie has been friendly meeting children, but has not been with them for any extended amount of time. She does well with women and has made some dog friends around the neighbourhood. There are some days where she will bark at other dogs, as well some men, but she is able to be redirected with consistent work.  Dorie would do better in a home with a yard where she could relax. Her preference is for shorter walks, and her recall is getting better, so has been having lots more off-leash time. She hasn’t wanted to try swimming yet, but has been out on a paddle board several times. Dorie loves food, treats, and jumping into the water to play. She sleeps well through the night, and sometimes even snores after a busy day! Once Dorie gets the zoomies, prepare for the cutest dog show ever. She would do well in a home that would allow her outdoor time, but also time to relax indoors. *** Hiya guys! One time, in my home country during the middle of the night, the city officials were killing the neighborhood dogs. I did some major sneaky work and ran away from the city officials into my rescuer’s father’s yard. Lucky for me, he had left the door open to take out the trash. I ran into his yard and hid in a box until I was found by my rescuer's dad. I was so lucky to end up in his yard. The stars have aligned for me to end up in Canada with you. It was fate! I am very friendly and love to play with humans, as well as other dogs. I even have a doggy best friend! His name is Mack (also posted.) I have been told that I’m super intelligent and learn commands very quickly. I am really hoping that I will end up in Canada soon and my new life will start with you! Please consider me to be a new addition to your family! I promise to fit right in! https://youtu.be/qV4pEc476Ew. Energy level: moderate I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: noKids: unknown Prey drive: High Fears: I am a bit afraid of men. However, if they sit next to me and give me treats I will learn to trust them. Story
Hi there. My name is Hazelbug (Findik) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Golden Retriever/LabAge: 1.5 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 50 poundsHeight: 44 cmHighlights: easy going, sweet, patient, friendly, social, well mannered UPDATE:  January, 2024.  Hazelbug has worked through her timidness and is no longer shy.  Soon a video of her running gleefully - to be posted... With my delightful, endearing personality and social nature, I have won the hearts of everyone around me. I am now ready to embark on a new chapter cherishing a family of my ownBeing one of the lucky ones, I never saw the difficulties on the streets of Turkey. I was born at one of the private shelters in Turkey.I was so social during my puppyhood, but while I was growing up became shy and timid. I bonded to an elderly dog where I felt safe, but that dog was adopted and I became lonely. Even though I am shy, with some touching I start to smile at you. Whoever adopts me will win a jackpot, as I am an easy-going bean who is friendly with all humans, dogs & also cats are on my good list.I'm a social butterfly, and my favourite pastime is showering humans with affection. Whether it's gentle tail wags, enthusiastic kisses, or soulful puppy eyes, I know just how to melt hearts: http://youtu.be/YTQbijtnQ_I. I thrives on human interaction, making me an ideal companion. Not only is this girl people oriented, I'm also a socialite among my furry friends. I get along famously with both dogs and cats, showcasing my adaptability and easygoing nature. My playful antics and gentle demeanour make me a joy to have around, creating a harmonious atmosphere in my foster home. With good manners and impeccable behaviour, I know basic commands. I am doing well on house training. While I do most everything outside, I prefer to use pee pads for peeing. So I'll need a bit more time to work through that. Given that I walk gently on the leash, it makes it more enjoyable to take me for a walk. I am happy with a few shorter walks per day, but could easily enjoy longer ones too.It is not known how I am with kids, but from my sweet and easygoing character, they think I could live with kids, as long as they know how to interact with dogs. Cats you ask, no prob: https://youtu.be/rMdGazASy9s, https://youtu.be/ZErYz9udVj0.My rescuers have never seen me barking, as I just take a back seat on my spot at home and wait for my human to take me for a walk or feed me. I can stay home alone, and never destroy your furniture. I'm such a good girl. I'm ready to love, if you're ready to receive it. It would be grand if you could get my tail wagging.Whether it's a cozy evening on the couch or an outdoor adventure, I am eager to share my affection and bring joy to my forever family. I will effortlessly integrate into your life.If you're seeking a social, loving, and adaptable companion, I might just be the perfect fit for you. Kitty vids on the way, processing.
