The Humane Society of Shenandoah County is a private non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the health, safety, welfare, compassionate care and protection of animals in Shenandoah County through education and community outreach programs. HSSC works hard to help every animal and family in need and helps the most vulnerable animals in our community.

Our adoption coordinator gets to know our applicants via phone call to see if the animal they've asked about would be a good fit. If she thinks there would be an obstacle with that particular animal she talks with them about another pet we have that may better suit their needs.
