Southwest Malinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue Animal rescue in Las vegas, NV

Southwest Malinois and Dutch Shepherds Rescue is a Las Vegas rescue group that works very closely with the Malinois and Dutch Shepherd community. We are strictly a Belgian Shepherd and Dutch Shepherd rescue but we will take in and re-home mixes occasionally.
Southweat Malinois and Dutch Shepherds Rescue specialize in providing a safe haven for pets of abuse, neglect or homelessness. In most cases, these cases would have resulted in death if the animal would have entered a municipally funded shelter.
We relies on a network of foster homes to house dogs in our program.Our rescue receives no local or federal funding, it relies solely on the generosity of its contributors and tax deductible donations received from the public.

Southwest Malinois and Dutch Shepherd Rescue is focused on saving working breed dogs around the Las Vegas area.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees are requested to help offset the cost of the animal and put toward the rescue of others. No administrative fees are taken from the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is a set $500. All pur adoptions include a health check up, up-to-date vaccines, spay/nueter, microchip, and free dog training group classes. These monies are not intended to make a profit nor do they normally cover all the expense that is put into the pet. They are merely requested to help offset the cost to the group.

All of our animals are fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered (unless too young), and are also microchip identified. Many have been in a home so the personality and temperament of the animal is known. We do not place an animal in the home just because we need to make space for a new rescue. We prefer to put the animal's best interest at heart and not place the animal in a home that is not suitable for the animal. (We do not adopt medium or large dogs out to apartments - regardless if the dog is a puppy at the present time - all dogs grow up) Due to the numbers of pets in the shelter system not all animals are able to be rescued. We do what we can and other adoption agencies do what they can, but the end to over population and unwanted and lost pets starts with the owner.
