Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens in Los Angeles. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA. Kitten Rescue adopts over 2,000 cats and kittens every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. We also offer low-cost spay and neuter surgeries at our clinic.
All of Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley and the surrounding areas.
Adoption steps
- Submit ApplicationApply at kittenrescue.org and one of our adoption counselors will email you about your application.
- Meet the PetOnce your application is approved, you can meet cats and kittens at our sanctuaries, foster homes, and adoption events.
- Home CheckA home visit or a home delivery of the cat or kitten is also required as part of our adoption process.

So you want to adopt a kitten or a cat? Cool! Our adoption questionnaire at KittenRescue.org is the first step of our adoption process. Then you can meet available cats and kittens at our many locations and foster homes. Our process also includes a home visit, adoption contract, and adoption fee.
