FURever Friends Humane Society, Inc. is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization that is dedicated to rescuing unwanted and abandoned companion animals from the Middle Georig area. These animals are acquired from area animal shelters. We strive to prepare our fosters for their new forever home to the best of our ability. We housebreak/litterbox train, crate train, teach to walk on a leash, socialize, etc. Our goal is to make the transition as smooth as possible for both the pet and the family. We do this by providing educational material and support after the adoption. We feel that educating the public and prospective pet owners of responsible animal care and treatment is the first line of defense in decreasing the astronomical number of animals that are destroyed daily. All monies raised by our organization is used to support our cause. We have no paid employees and receive no funding from local or state government. Our long term goal is too purchase land and build a comprehensive animal facility. While reaching this goal we will make every effort to save as many companion animals that our foster program can accommodate. "I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something. I will not refuse to do the something I can do." Helen Keller
