Areas Catz Jazz serves

Travis, Williamson and Bastrop Counties; We are fostering the animals in our private homes, kennel-free, until we can show them at a public adoption location since we do not have a shelter and rely on a network of volunteer foster homes. We also set up appointments to bring cats available for adoption to prospective adopters' homes for a visit, up to 50 miles from our home base for adoptions. Please contact us to setup a meet-and-greet!

Additional adoption info

- You must be at least 18 to apply. Please show Driver's License or Identification Card in person.

- Adopter must agree to a home visit and followup visitation, have up to date veterinarian references and please be available for initial phone interview.

- Online Application is at: http://www.catzjazz.org/adoptions/

*Please note that not all of our cats go to an adoption event because we rotate out cats based on their need for adoption, so please contact us to arrange the day you want to visit a particular cat.

ABOUT THE ADOPTION PROCESS:
All of our felines are treated for worms/fleas, tested for FeLV/FIV, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered (if at least 5-6 months of age), are litterbox trained and have received any medical care they needed while in foster or rehabilitation. In the case of rescued dogs in our care from time to time, the dog will be fully-vetted and up-to-date. The average adoption fee of $125 helps offset some of these expenses which are otherwise funded through our support network of donations and volunteers. Adoption fees range, and may go as low as $75 for long-stay or senior rescues, are typically $125 for adults and kittens and can go higher for "purebreeds". Many of our rescues arrive to us in critical need of costly medical procedures. This adoption fee is critical so that we can sustain our rescue operation and provide this same quality of care to the next rescue in our care.

Catz Jazz's adopted pets

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Cedar Creek, TX.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
