When you share your adoption story with us, we’ll send you free deals on pet parent favorites like Greenies, Royal Canin, Whistle smart devices, Wisdom DNA tests, and more.
We serve Rappahannock Country, Virginia, and frequently place cats in other parts of Northern Virginia and Central Virginia, and the Washington, DC metropolitan area. However, we accept cats only from Rappahannock County residents because our county does not operate a public cat shelter.

About RappCats
We operate the only community cat shelter in Rappahannock County, relying entirely on private funds. Our shelter is no-kill. We euthanize out of human compassion only those cats that are suffering and cannot be saved.
Our shelter is also cage-free. The cats live, eat and sleep in large open spaces with each other. They are beloved to our dedicated volunteers.
Our dedicated volunteers also help the residents of our rural county to spay/neuter cats; rescue, and provide shelter and medical care for stray, abandoned and injured cats; and find loving homes for homeless cats.
All RappCats cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and healthy (unless otherwise noted).
