We are located in Houston TX. We rescue dogs local to Houston and network them in areas that are not experiencing the extreme level of animal overpopulation. These rescued dogs can be easily be transported to approved adopters in the following areas:

90% of our adoptions are out-of-state adoptions, meaning meeting the pet prior to adoption is unfortunately not always a possibility. While a bit unconventional, we have adopted over 300 animals to amazing families in the past two years.
The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application. You can access our adoption application through our website at www.reggiesfriends.or. If you hover over the "Adoptables" tab, the application will appear.
Following the application, potential adopters are connected with the animal's foster family for a phone call, or more often, a video chat so that adopters can "meet" the animal and us!
The adoption fee for all dogs is $500, which helps to cover the cost of the flight, a new travel kennel, and their vet care expenses (vetting is completed prior to adoption). Animals will not be flown to their new families until the adoption contract and adoption fee is paid (in full).

Reggie’s Friends was founded out of our love for helping dogs. Living in a city of 1.2 million homeless animals, there was rarely a day when we didn’t see a dog in need of help. Instead of just wanting to do something, we figured out how to do something! Reggie’s Friends is dedicated to the health and welfare of dogs in and around the greater Houston, TX area. We focus our attention on helping shelter dogs, street dogs, and dogs who have been abandoned in boarding facilities find loving, forever families. What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
