My Story

Hi! Our names are Hortense and Margo. Me, Hortense, the yellow lab mix is Mama to Margo the chocolate lab mix. We are a mother and daughter duo who love being together, we're very bonded, so we are looking for a home to take us both in and keep us together. We know the perfect home is out there for us and we are waiting patiently. We both have a lot of lab in us as you can see from the photos. We are happy girls. I mosey about as my daughter jollily prances beside me. We are sweet as we are happy and we hope to find a loving, cozy forever home soon. Margo's estimated year of birth is around 2009 and mine is 2007. Her weight is around 50 lbs; mine around 80 lbs. We both get along with other dogs and cats too, so far. We are both heart-worm negative, spayed and up to date with our vaccinations. If you're interested in learning more about us, please contact RickyC68@aol.com and please include a phone number where you can be reached. Thank you!

Adoption Process

Most of the dogs that come to our Sanctuary have had a scary background of being left to die in animal shelters across the country. Understandably, we are very careful in our approving our adoptions as we are dedicated to ensuring that this dogs truly go to a "forever" home. As a result, our process is stringent, requiring an application, home visit, vet and reference checks and an adoption contract. We want the adoption to be a match made in heaven for both the new adoptive parents and the adopted dog.
