Description

Provide the utmost quality of care and enrichment, while we work to connect adoptable cats and kittens with loving homes in our community. As part of the Kitty Committee, you will perform basic care giving duties for the adoptable cats at our local pet stores, and if desired, you will be trained on processing adoptions!

Time Commitment
A typical shift takes one - two hours, depending on the animals in care
We encourage extra care and playtime depending on your schedule
Currently we have volunteer opportunities in:
Petco-Morton Ranch (Katy)
Petco-Copperfield (West Houston)

Responsibilities
Provide quality customer service to potential adopters
Check on well-being of cats
Scoop cat habitat litter boxes every shift and refill litter as needed
Spot clean and wipe down and sanitize all surfaces of habitat per BFAS protocols
Refresh food and water each shift
Report any issues immediately to the Life Saving and Care Coordinator and Petco Volunteer Lead
Sign up for recurring shifts on our volunteer calendar and ensure that you attend your shift or notify us in advance if you can't make your shift.

Once you've done that, you'll be able to contact the rescue group and express your interest helping out with this opportunity.
