Story
Cashew is a shy but gentle boy. Adopters should be prepared to give him time to adapt to his new home and please dont feel discouraged if it takes him a moment to warm up to you. Cashew has done well with being handled and is doing better with being held too! Once in a loving home we anticipate him opening up even more. Cashew will be most comfortable in a calmer home. Dogs and small children may overwhelm him. We do not know if he has lived with other animals or children. Though, he has not appeared to be bothered by the other cats he will need time to adapt!

Story
Oh my goodness, Mister Handsome is truly the best! you just have to come meet him and see for yourself. Mister Handsome came to the shelter as a stray, and we were so surprised that no one came looking for him. Handsome loves attention and as long as you are willing to hold him, he will be your best friend. Handsome will crawl into your lap or climb up your body when he is wanting to be held. We think it`s the cutest thing! He is talkative and is great at holding a conversation. If you are looking for a cat that will help keep you company, Handsome may be the purrfect guy for you. We do not know if Handsome has lived with other animals, but we always encourage slow introductions! During his time in the shelter, he has not appeared to be bothered by the other cats. If you feel that your home would be a good fit for Handsome, we would love for you to come by and meet him!

Story
Laika (A134046) is a 2-year-old cat who weighed just over 16 pounds on intake!05/07/25 Laika is back at the shelter and looking for his new home! Laika was surrendered back to the shelter because he was fighting with the other cats in the home. As previously mentioned, Laika is looking for a home without feline roommates. In his past home it was also stated that he is very cat like in the fact that he knocks things off of counters and will get into cupboards causing chaos. Laika would appreciate plenty of enrichment and appropriate stimulation in his next home. Providing him with a cat tree and scratching poles would most likely make him very happy. His owner did note that he scratches and has a more reserved personality. It was noted that he gets agitated when being brushed; however, at the shelter he has seemed to enjoy being brushed in short quantities. He is a cat that can become overstimulated so listening to him and giving him space when he asks is important. He was said to be litterbox trained and has used it well. Laika is looking for a special and understanding home that can set him up for success, if you are interested in meeting him, please let us know! 04/19/24 Laika is back at the shelter due to no fault of his own. His previous owner unfortunately learned that she was allergic to him. In the short time that they had Laika, they said he was a wonderful, sweet and quiet cat. He did well using his litterbox and was said to ride well in the car. He was said to be rough when playing, so he may need some gentle reminders on appropriate play styles. If you are interested in meeting Mr. Laika, please give the shelter a call!04/08/24 Laika was surrendered to the shelter because he was fighting with the other cat in the home. While his owner was breaking up a catfight, Laika bit the owner, resulting in him having to serve out a 10-day bite quarantine. Laikaâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s prior owner felt he would do best in a home without other pets as he is generally fearful of them resulting in fights. He was described as a shy but friendly cat in his last home. Laika has often been found at the front of his kennel soliciting attention. Laika would most likely do best in a quiet home where he can feel truly comfortable. He has no prior history with babies or children. Laika was said to be litterbox trained and has used it well at the shelter. We have also noted that he has a very healthy appetite and loves crunchy treats. If you have a home setting that you feel could be appropriate for Laika and are interested in meeting him, please lets us know! May 8, 2025, 9:02 pm

Good with cats, House-trained,
Story
I adopted Luna from the shelter hoping that she would be a good companion for my cat Tom, he is a bit older and I thought he was lonely and needed socialization and companionship so I got Luna, female hoping they would be compatible, and Tom never seemed to adapt to her being here, he’s not aggressive towards her, but he hides away from her for hours of the day and she chases him around whenever he roams the house, due to her hyperactivity, being younger, I’m looking for a really good home for her and don’t want to surrender her because I truly don’t want to give her up, she’s super affectionate and will let you hold her and melt into your arms, she’s super curious and playful and is probably good with children, if shown how to handle her carefully. Any inquiries call my cell (xxx) xxx-xxxx
