To some, Meeps may seem like an ordinary shelter cat: approachable, gently attentive, curious about new friends. We happen to know Meeps has had a long and rocky road to get to our safety zone. As a youngster, he was trapped, neutered and released by his rescuer who felt he wouldn’t be well served indoors. Meeps had other thoughts, and purrsued new rescuers until he happened upon our own team member who easily picked him up and recovered him to safety. We were prepared to invest all the time and patience he might need in adjusting to indoor living, but Meeps felt his life was put on hold long enough, and accelerated his learning curve as quick as a blink of his eye! Meeps has taught us a thing or two about loving him. Turns out he’s purrfect! His only request is to live in a home without dogs. A cat in your home will be the ideal welcoming committee for him.
