Story
Blueberry is around two years old, she has beautiful green eyes, and the cutest little tuxedo. She was a mom who raised her kittens with the utmost care and is ready to take on her next chapter in her forever home. She can start off a little shy, but once she knows she's safe, she is the most sweet, curious, and playful little kitty. She loves chasing her bird toy, exploring her surroundings, and watching the pigeons fly outside the window. Blueberry loves her youthful play sessions, then will settle down and sleep through the night in bed with you either on your lap or by your side! She loves to play with her toys and has a preference for feathers and wand toys, as well as rubber bands. She is very curious, but also quite careful to not knock anything over.. She loves to be your little buddy and to know what the humans are up to.  She loves both dry and wet food (and squeeze treats), and has a preference for more wet foods. She can get a bit overstimulated by petting, new loud noises, and close eye contact. She can be a little skittish sometimes, but is so loving and sweet and has gotten so much more comfortable in the first couple weeks at her foster home, and continues to get more comfortable and loving every day! She is friendly and curious, has started to meet new people, and will do great with people who can understand cat body language and respect her boundaries. She is still working up to longer petting sessions, but she loves to cozy up close to you, and sit on your laps. She came from a home with many cats and was very overwhelmed by all the activity. She would do best in a home with no young children or animals who would not respect her boundaries or read her body language. She could do well in a home with an owner experienced in cat x cat or cat x dog introductions but would be happiest solo. She is doing great living with two people in her foster home and will probably do best as a solo cat. She is truly such a special cat that loves to be close to you and show affection.  Vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies. FeLV / FIV negative, spayed, and microchipped. Story
Guppy and Tadpole are darling, 7 month old bonded brothers. They are handsome, affectionate, and playful guys! Tadpole is the sensitive theater kid of the duo, a sweet tiny boy who loves to cuddle and wander absent-mindedly around the house. Tadpole has little to no eyesight, but that doesn't stop him from exploring & playing right alongside his brother. Guppy is an incredibly playful jock, who will eagerly play with anything from an empty toilet paper roll to your shoelaces. He can be an agent of chaos to his tiny brother, lying in wait for Tadpole to wander under the couch, to jump down directly on top of him in ambush. Tadpole holds his own in their brotherly squabbles, though, bravely fighting back until they both get tired and collapse into their cat bed to purr and nap. Apply to adopt Tadpole and Guppy today and add these sweet, loving boys to your family. They would probably get along ok with respectful kids and other pets! Tadpole & Guppy vaccinated for FVRCP, rabies, FeLV / FIV negative, microchipped, and neutered. Story
Meet Herbert! 6–7 weeks old · 1.5 lbs · Future Mayor of Cuteness Herbert—affectionately known as Herbs—came into the shelter as a tiny stray singleton, estimated at just 3 weeks old and weighing only 370 grams. Fast forward three weeks in foster care, and this determined little guy has blossomed into a strong, confident, perfectly socialized kitten. Now weighing in at 1.5 lbs, Herbert is truly thriving. He’s being raised with three dog siblings and has already helped welcome (and say goodbye to!) two foster kitten friends who have since found their homes. Thanks to being surrounded by both animals and humans since he was so small, Herbs is one of the friendliest, most well-adjusted kittens you’ll ever meet. He’s playful, cuddly, curious, and always ready to join the action—whether that’s wrestling with a dog buddy, chasing a toy, or cozying up in your lap. Herbert would love a forever home with other playful pets (dogs, cats, or both!) who can keep up with his social, energetic little spirit. If you’re looking for the sweetest, happiest, most perfectly raised kitten—Herbs is your guy. Up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, needs neuter/rabies vaccine when of age and weight.  To apply for Herbert, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. Story
Meet Devereux and Trish   They are a playful pair of 7 week old kittens looking for a loving home! They were found living under a deck in Jamaica, Queens, and they have been growing quickly during the three weeks with their foster parents!  Trish, the tabby, loves to hang out in her kitten hammock, but she’s also never afraid to climb into your lap and snuggle, especially once she’s warmed up to you. Trish’s inquisitive spirit makes her love climbing and exploring her environment. She gets along great with her siblings as well. Trish has a language all of her own and makes cute little chirping noises while playing. It took her the longest to warm up to the dog of the house, but now she initiates play and cuddles with her much bigger friend. Devereux (Devy), the black kitten, is the ringleader of the two. She is always looking for play or a new space to explore. Even though she is active, she also loves to cuddle! She prefers to lay right next to your legs while Trish sits in your lap. Her favorite activity is sneaking up behind her siblings and getting a good game going of hide and seek or wrestling. She’s the spunky, adventurous one of the two who will be excited to explore her new home. If Devy can’t find one of her two siblings she’ll make the sweetest little meows and her siblings come running!  They have both grown comfortable being around a playful, adult dog and would likely acclimate to home with other cats or dogs. When they first arrived they preferred to play with each other’s tails but now are also obsessed with chasing their little feather toy and will come out of any hiding spot as soon as they hear the jingle of the bell. From time to time you can hear them sprinting around chasing each other or doing their own kitty parkour. Together, these two would make any home brighter! Devereux and Trish are up to date on shots and dewormed. Scheduled to be neutered on 12/17.  Please apply using the following instructions if you are interested in adopting one of our Waggytails: Visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application.
