Story
Garfield is an affectionate orange boy with a heart as big as his wide-eyed stare. Whether he’s quietly watching you from across the room or offering a soft meow to remind you he’s there, Garfield knows how to charm his way into your arms—and that’s exactly where he wants to be! He loves personal attention and never misses a chance to be held and cuddled. When he’s not snuggling, Garfield is busy wrestling with his sisters, putting his playful side on full display. One of his favorite pastimes is carrying around a motion-activated toy like a proud little hunter—especially when it’s turned off. We suspect he thinks he’s vanquished it in glorious kitten battle! Garfield would thrive in a home that enjoys equal parts cuddles and comedy. He’s curious, cuddly, and a little bit dramatic in the most endearing way. He has not yet met dogs or children, but with a calm and patient introduction, he’ll likely do just fine   Garfield has tested negtive for FIV and Feline Leukemia . His adoption fee includes: updated age-appropriate vaccines, his neuter surgery, microchip, and rabies vaccine when old enough Visit www.pawsforlifenc.org to submit your application to adopt. Please note: We do not adopt unaltered kittens to homes beyond a 45-minute drive of our veterinarians.   ##2377429##

Story
Meet Nami – Queen of Cuddles and Cat Chats! If you’ve been dreaming of a beautiful black cat who will roll around dramatically for your attention, chirp lovingly at you from across the room, and curl up in your lap with the softest purrs—look no further. Nami is your girl! This gorgeous kitty may be a little shy when she first meets you, but give her a little time and she’ll make sure you never feel lonely again. Once you’re in her trusted circle, Nami loves to be noticed. She’s vocal, flirty, and will happily show off her best rolling tricks to get those head scratches just right. Nami is playful and curious—bugs, leaves, shadows… she’ll chase them all with enthusiasm. We imagine that, as an indoor kitty, she would thrive with a fun toy collection and a cozy window seat to bird-watch. She gets along well with other cats and has a gentle, sweet nature that makes her a wonderful feline companion. When playtime is done, Nami is all about the snuggles. She’ll curl up on your lap, turn on her happy motor, and remind you what true contentment feels like. Oh—and did we mention she has a brother? While they don’t have to be adopted together, if you’re looking for a dynamic duo, they’d be more than happy to double the love (and the fun!). Ready to meet Nami (and maybe her brother too)? Please email ccrnewengland@gmail.com for more information. She’s waiting to roll her way right into your heart!  May 8, 2025, 4:56 pm

Story
Dearest Gentle Readers, We have some new feline companions among us. This litter hails from the House of Bridgerton and is oh so dainty in their daily endeavors. Their journey to HSDC was a troubling one and very much could have turned deadly. Their mother, severely injured, kept the course of being their protector and guardian keeping them all safe until help arrived. Their mother had a leg amputation, and they are exploring their new foster home learning the wonderful inside life. All are beautiful and dapper with their different hues of tabby, gold, and black. Typical daily duties include physical activity enjoying toys, dining on luxurious kitten pate, and napping in the stream of sun through the window. Before bidding them adieu, we urge you to please visit hsdavie.org/cats and click on their picture to complete an adoption application to adopt them in your House. Let it be known, you will not regret it.
