Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If your interested in adopting me please fill out an adoption application! *** Kitten Policy: CAT will only place a kitten under the age of 8 months into a home with an appropriate feline ***   My name is Angel, a kitten who loves life! I love chasing and catching my 4 sibling’s tails, since I’m just a little slower to catch the toys sometimes. I’m comical, having a flair for making humans laugh and I’m always up to trying new games. My favorite hobbies are playing, being around others and watching the neighborhood. I am sweet and gentle- I really live up to my name. I look a lot like my sister Callie, but my light gray patch on my head is just a bit smaller. My foster family says that I’m cute as a button with my white whiskers and my delicate pink nose. If you’re looking for a loyal and true companion, look no further! I would love to meet you. ***ADOPTION INFORMATION: The adoption fee of $350 per feline includes a veterinary exam, parasites treatment, spay/neuter, vaccination and microchip. The adopter will be responsible for the first, second and third sets of vaccinations if they haven't already been administered.    Join us for a "meet & greet" at PetSmart Mer Bleue 2002 Mer Bleue, Orleans, ON    K4A 0G2Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 8, 2025, 6:57 am

Story
This fellow needs a clean slate from his dark grey past. Meet Slate, one of the eight cats known as “the Greyscale Gang” who were recently welcomed to EHS. This friendly white and slate-grey boy needs the break that will give him the happily ever after he deserves. ABOUT SLATE- At shelter- Slate is a friendly cat who readily accepts pets from shelter volunteers. His favourite spots are the top of the head and chin scritches. - Although he preferred the safety of the cat tree and cubby when he first arrived, he is now described as “super friendly and affectionate” and has even started purring and seeking attention. It’s clear this boy is ready to open up to love! - Slate loves affection. He will rub up against your legs and even nudge his feline friends out of the way for extra attention. - He has started showing interest in the feather wand toy. It’s a joy to see him relax and play. - Did someone say Churro treat? Slate thinks these treats are the cat’s meow! - Slate is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations. SLATE’S IDEAL HOME- Slate gets along well with other cats and would do well in a multi-feline home. - We are unsure of his history with dogs and young children. Could you be the one to wipe away the memories of Slate’s less-than-ideal past? Come by the shelter and meet him today. It would be a grey day indeed to miss out on this gem. Story
Microchipped, DOB: May 5, 2021 Noireau is a cute little rascal with a big personality. It’s hard to say which he loves more, play or rest. He can generally be found chasing paper balls or napping in any cat bed he can find. He's a hunter whose favourite prey is textiles — think socks, gloves, and the occasional kitchen scrubbie. He’ll proudly carry his “catch” through the house, meowing to announce his victory. Noireau was rescued from a hoarding situation and when he first arrived in foster, he was a very vocal little guy, meowing and hissing (a gentle, non-threatening hiss) almost constantly as he adjusted to his new world. These days, he’s mostly quiet, though he’ll still make his wishes known with meows at mealtimes. Aka, his favourite times! Noireau is full of beans, and would also literally eat all the beans if given the chance. He’s very food-motivated and will do his best to sample whatever his humans are eating. He’s an A+ scavenger, who is known to sometimes go looking for food in places that he shouldn’t. He also needs to be fed separately from his cat roommates, so everyone gets a chance to eat. A clever boy, Noireau has taught himself to open the bathroom door’s lever handle to let himself out once he has finished dinner! Noireau is curious and observant but still cautious with people. He’s learning that humans are all right and that pets are pretty good, and he’s getting more comfortable all the time. With time Noireau is sure to settle in and blossom into his full silly, loving cat self. He is already getting sweeter by the day. One of Noireau’s favourite things in the world is his best friend Karl. Rescued from the same hoarding situation months ago, these two boys went to different foster homes, but were recently reunited in their second placements. They are now looking for a forever home together. If you want to be part of their remarkable story and have a heart big enough for two dorky cats who are still working on their people skills, Noireau will reward you with sweet and silly companionship and the satisfaction of helping a pair of misfit boys learn to find their place among humans.

Good with cats,
Story
Microchipped, DOB: May 5, 2021 Karl is a sweet and gentle giant. He’s still learning to trust people, but this handsome boy has come a long way since being rescued from a hoarding situation, and his foster family is proud of how much progress he has made. While he’ll still make himself scarce when startled, when Karl feels relaxed, he’ll accept gentle pets, and there's more affection waiting to come out as his confidence grows. He’s curious, attentive, and endearing, with his oddly shaped mouth that causes his peek-a-boo tongue to make frequent appearances. Karl is a strong, silent type, and a calm and thoughtful observer as he loves to sit nearby and watch his humans. He’s not a chatterbox, except when it comes to food! He’ll meow politely to remind you it’s dinner time and again when he’s finished, just to let you know he’s satisfied. Karl tends to eat very quickly, so he uses a puzzle mat to slow him down and keep his tummy happy. Don’t let his normally calm demeanour fool you though, when the wand toy comes out Karl’s inner hunter takes over! He’s lightning-fast, leaping high and sprinting across the room with his prey. He gets so enthusiastic, it can be hard for his humans to keep a hold of the other end of the toy. Powerful and majestic, Karl doesn’t always know his own strength and will wrestle just a little too hard with his foster siblings, but nobody gets hurt. Karl especially loves chilling out with his BFF Noireau. Karl and Noireau were rescued from the same hoarding situation months ago and were put into different foster homes when they came into TCR’s care. When Karl was first posted for adoption, he was labelled as ‘bad with cats’ but the truth is he was just missing his friend! In a remarkable twist of fate, Karl and Noireau found themselves in need of new foster homes at the same time, and were reunited in their second placement. Immediately they started cuddling, playing, grooming, and comforting each other. It was a reunion! We’re not about to separate these boys again, so this bonded pair is in need of a calm home with a special adopter. Someone who is patient and loving and willing to help Karl to continue to come out of his shell and show the world just how much love he has to offer.

Story
Presenting Hisstropher Nolan — the mysterious mastermind of the barn-cat trio. I’m not here for cuddles, laps, or human theatrics. I’m here for the work: pest control, perimeter patrol, and silent shadow-stalking worthy of an award. I thrive where there’s space to think, roam, and orchestrate my nightly missions — a barn, shed, garage, shop, or any outbuilding where independence is part of the deal. I do still expect the essentials: reliable food, clean water, and a safe, dry spot to retreat when the day’s script calls for rest. As for humans, we can coexist on a mutually respectful, “no touching” agreement. Feed me, appreciate my artistry from afar, but attempt to pick me up and I’ll vanish from the scene faster than a plot twist. If you’re searching for a brilliant, low-maintenance barn cat who delivers high-impact pest control with cinematic precision, I’m your guy. I’m bonded with my littermates Dave Growl and Purrl Jam — a full trilogy of barn-cat talent ready to defend your property and obliterate your rodent problem. *All our working whiskers are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and vet checked, and our adoption fee is up to you to choose ($30 admin fee still applies). You are responsible for providing a safe and suitable living environment, food, water and veterinary care as required.

Story
State of Graycee.Amazing Graycee, how sweet a meow! Graycee arrived at EHS as part of a larger group of cats who were all surrendered due to overcrowding. With her bright eyes and mischievous little smile, Graycee is ready for her ‘fur-ever’ home.ABOUT GRAYCEE- At shelter- Graycee arrived with a few of her friends who have lovingly been dubbed the ‘Greyscale Gang’ because of their varying shades of black, white, and grey.- Graycee may take some time to warm up to you, but she definitely does so quicker when delicious Churu treats are being offered.- She loves to get cozy inside her cubby and sometimes invites the other cats she arrived with to join her in the cat tower.- Once you’ve earned Graycee’s trust, she may appreciate a few chin scratches from you. Even though she’s independent, Graycee cannot resist a little treat and some play time with the wand toy.- Graycee is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.GRAYCEE’S IDEAL HOME- Graycee appears to do well with other cats and is familiar with their company.- While Graycee doesn’t mind the company of other cats, she’s also fiercely independent and would love a small space in her new home to claim as her own.- We are unsure if Graycee is good with dogs or young children.- Graycee might take a bit of time and effort to comfortably warm up to her new environment. She would fare best with an adopter who is prepared to commit the time and patience required to help her settle into her new environment.A little sassy and a lot of sweet, Graycee is ready for a fresh start and a new place to call home. If you’re ready to save a catch like Miss Graycee, apply to adopt today! If you have any questions about Graycee or the adoption process, please contact cats@etobicokehumanesociety.com
