Story
Hi, I`m Trix!I came to WCHS after my owners could no longer care for me. I am a super sweet boy, who wants all the attention to myself! I can be shy at first, but once I get comfortable with you, it`ll be like I`ve always been there! I lived with a dog in the home previously, so with the correct introduction could again. My history with other cats is unknown, so if I live with any, there needs to be a slow introduction to them as well. I can live in a home with kids! If I sound like the best fit for your home, come meet me today!

Story
Ruger came to CVHS when his owner was moving, and they were unable to take him with them. Ruger loves attention on his own terms, and will let you know when he has had enough. He also loves to tell stories. In his prior home he lived in an indoor-household, and lived with a dog, but completely ignored the dog. So far he is tolerating his feline roommates of similar personality in our colony rooms. Ruger has no experience with children but due to getting overstimulated at times, and being startled by loud noises, we would not send him to a home with young children.

Not good with kids, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
Rhoda is a quiet, independent companion. She was once a house cat, but it was not a friendly environment and she was found as a stray, abandoned outside. Rhoda's looks are as unique as her personality- her coat is soft and a beautiful ginger color; she has extra toes, a curly ear, and no tail. She likes to spend time alone, but in the evenings she will sit on your lap or nearby while you are reading or watching TV. She likes pets on her head, but prefers to approach you first, and will let you know when she’s finished with the petting. Rhoda loves to watch the birds outside the window or lights from a laser pen (but don't forget to toss her some treats afterwards!) Give her a private space to retreat to when she needs it, a cozy, calm environment for when she is feeling sociable and she will settle right in. If you're interested in meeting Rhoda, complete an adoption application at queencitycatsvt.org.

Story
Lola is a very sweet and gentle petite girl with big, expressive eyes. She was hit by a car before coming to us and is recovering from bilateral sacroiliac joint subluxations and suspected nondisplaced fractures of the right pubis/ischium of her pelvis. Despite these injuries, she is healing very well. Lola is currently on cage rest, which means she can walk but must avoid all jumping, running, and playing. She is available as a medical Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) and will need continued rest in the home. Her third X-ray is scheduled for January to monitor her progress. Lola is a loving cat who just needs a quiet, safe space while she continues to recover.

Story
Rowdy is a 3-month-old light brown female kitten with a soft, fluffy coat and a gentle personality. She’s curious, playful, and loves exploring her world before settling in for a cozy nap. Rowdy is looking for a loving home where she can grow and thrive. Rowdy may have a mild heart murmur, but it disappeared under anesthesia, which suggests it could be stress-related. It’s not currently causing her any issues, but it should be monitored by a veterinarian as she grows. With regular checkups and a caring home, Rowdy has every chance to live a happy, healthy life. If you’re ready to welcome a sweet kitten who just needs a little extra attention, Rowdy could be the perfect addition to your family!
