Chihuahua fun facts

Fun Facts:

The Chihuahua was first imported to the United States from the Chihuahua region (the word means "dry, sandy place") of Mexico in the mid-1800s.

Relative to their teeny-tiny body size, they are the most intelligent dog breed. Also, the smallest living dog in the world happens to be a Chihuahua. "Brandy" is in the Guinness Book of Records for being six inches from tip to tail.

Chihuahuas are popular in Hollywood. Ren of The Ren & Stimpy Show is a Chihuahua, and there was even a 2008 film titled Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Paris Hilton started the Chihuahua celebrity craze, even creating a two-story "Doggie Mansion" for her dogs.
