Story
Hi, hi, hi... my name is HIMAN and here is a little info about me:Breed: Anatolian ShepardAge: 2 yrsGender: maleWeight: 30 kgCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlight(s): Smart, Trainable, Cuddly, Calm, Social, Friendly I'm the kind of dog you want to clone. Social, friendly and just cuddly. My life started out so rough. When I was just a tiny puppy, kind rescuers found me all alone, covered in deep wounds, with a bad skin infection that made me itch everywhere. My jaw was shattered and Inwas in pain. I was also so skinny, I could barely stand. The surgeon vet shook his head and said it was too late for surgery and I'd have to live with the broken jaw forever, eating soft mush and hurting every time.Been staying strong in the shelter now for 1 year, healing my skin and wounds little by little. Then, I went for neutering (yep, I'm fixed now!), a special vet at the clinic saw me and said, "No way, this pup can get fixed!" He did the jaw surgery though, and oh boy, it changed everything. Now I eat and drink normal food with no pain at all, chomping happily like I dreamed!I'm calm on a leash, great with women, men, kids, other dogs, no barking fits, no chewing stuff, super chill about food or toys.Call me an all around super dog. I listen well and love hugs and kisses. I am calm and oh so smart. I can learn just about anything, quite the trainable lad. While a bit of exercise is nice, I'd really like a home where I can hang outbwith mynfamily and soak up the affection. It would be nice if you could teach me tricks or tasks for my budding mind. I would just eat that up.I'm here waiting in the shelter for my forever family to scoop me up.Videos coming soon. Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: yes Prey drive: moderate. Please consult a trainer if these traits arise.Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: some. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2601154##

Story
Are you looking for your new BFF? Look no further, Peanut might be the girl for you. Peanut came into care very nervous, it took staff a couple weeks to gain her trust. Once she learned that humans were safe, she has truly blossomed. She is very outgoing with people and would do best in a home with another dog to truly help her continue to build her confidence. Smaller cats and dogs she tends to chase and would be best with another canine companion. She bonds very quickly with people, often being referred to as a 'velcro dog' and would love a guardian who works from home full or part time as she has developed separation anxiety when her near and dear are too far away. She LOVES to play with toys, fetch and go on long explores. She travels very well in a vehicle and enjoys meeting and greeting with all humans and dogs on each walk she goes on. Peanut is a bit shy around loud noises and abrupt movements and would be best suited to an adult only home. She is working on her housetraining and hasn't had any accidents over the last week, often asking to go outside to do her business. She is navigating some food sensitivities/allergies and is currently on a special prescription diet that she will need to remain on moving forward. She is also currently on eye medication that will be ongoing until her allergies are sortedPeanut is an absolute snuggler and would crawl into your pocket if it was big enough. If you're looking for a dog who will always be by your side, and is an excellent (and occasionally an obsessive) kisser- Peanut may be for you!Due to the high demand we expect for Peanut, applications will be reviewed in person only. Adoption and viewing hours are 12pm-3pm, Tuesday-Sunday. Primary Color: Chocolate Secondary Color: White Weight: 8.6 Age: 1yrs 2mths 0wks
