Story
Dog Name: Julian Fox Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Sex: Male Age: 15 weeks Weight: 27lbs Medical Needs: Neuter and second round of shots Housebroken: Yes, but still training at his age, he goes to the door when he needs to go but if not paying attention will have an accident Crate trained: Yes, he doesn't love it, but he tolerates it. Good in the car: absolutely loves it Good on a leash: Great for his age. Energy level: High (puppy) Need a fenced in yard: Not needed, he doesn't go far from you. Dog Friendly: Yes! He loves dogs. If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No Cat Friendly? Yes, he doesn't really bother with them. Kid Friendly: Absolutely If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with: Any, but keep in mind he is still a puppy so he has those sharp puppy teeth. Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Our boy Julian is the funniest, most loving, playful and smartest boy we have ever had. He loves to just be loved. Julian is full of life, he is going to be a big dog so training is a must, as always with a puppy he cannot be crated all day and must have the time and energy needed for him. He absolutely loves being outside and on walks. Anyone that gets the pleasure of adopting the boy will be the luckiest human ever and he will be the most loyal dog to them. Fosters Location: Millsboro, DE Application can be found for Julian at: https://www.grrde.org/adoption-application (if you already have an approved application on file email GrassRootsDE@gmail.com and ask the app team to pull your app ##2490492##

Story
Dog Name: Finn McMissile. Breed: Hound mix. Sex: Male. Age: 1. Weight: 33lbs. Medical Needs: None. Housebroken: Doing great with a schedule. Will alert you by going back and forth between you and the door. He has also added sound effects when he needs to go out. Crate trained: Yes, goes right in and gets a treat! Good in the car: Yes, but a seatbelt and a harness are best. He sometimes thinks he has his own license. Good on a leash: Yes, for the most part. That hound in him gets his little sniffer going and he can get side tracked quickly but easily redirected. Energy level: Puppy energy. Need a fenced in yard: Not needed but he’d love to be able to let that little sniffer free roam. Dog Friendly: Yes! If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive home? Not needed. Cat Friendly: Not sure - no cats in foster home. Kid Friendly: Yes. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any with proper supervision. Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know? Finn McMissile is not only adorable but he is a ball of playful energy mixed with lots of sweetness. He came up on the ride to freedom van the end of July and when I picked him up he was just the sweetest. The whole car ride back to our house he placed his little head on my arm, as if he was so thankful for being saved. Since his arrival he’s been loving the good life and settling in nicely! He is a fun loving pup who loves to play with all of his stuffed toys, playing ball, soft beds, his foster fur siblings, treats and meal times are some of his favs! In true hound fashion his little nose takes him some places and tries to get him in trouble. That is a work in progress but I can say he is a ball of fun even if he enjoys keeping you on your toes. He can get the zoomies but he can also snuggle up on the couch with you or play with his toys. When he’s in play mode he is the absolute cutest! He looks like Dumbo mixed with a baby deer running around, it’s pure joy for him and you to watch! If you think you can handle all of this cuteness — have the love and patience to help him be the best boy he can be.. fill out an app today! He will be forever grateful and reward you with the sweetest hugs & kisses. Fosters Location: New Castle, DE. Application can be found here: https://www.grrde.org/adoption-application (if you already have an approved application on file email GrassRootsDE@gmail.com and ask the app team to pull your app ##2475728##

Story
Dog Name: CARTER COAL Breed: Mixed breed Sex: Male Age: 8 months Weight: 31 lbs Medical Needs: None Housebroken: He has pretty much mastered this. Will not potty in kennel at all. As long as you see him at door and let him out he will go outside but he doesn’t understand to alert yet. Crate trained: Yes will go in his crate to eat, sleep, and when I leave the house. Good in the car: Yes. He prefers shotgun but if you insist will sit in the back Good on a leash: Getting there he was a horrible puller but we are working on this (unless we see a rabbit or a person that he knows just wants to pet him ) Energy level: He is a puppy with puppy energy. He is learning “off” and doesn’t chew or bite he is out of that stage but he does like to play. He responds well to no and listens. Need a fenced in yard: Not necessarily, but would need to be exercised or walked to burn off energy daily. Dog Friendly: YES! He loves all dogs, shapes, sizes, and sexes and is always submissive to them. If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? No he is happy with his humans too. Cat Friendly? Unsure Kid Friendly: YES! He loves kids soooo much and has not jumped on any he has met. He kisses and rolls over for belly rubs. If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? Any, with proper supervision of course. Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them? Carter Coal is the hugest love bug. He loves everyone he meets and especially loves kids. He hasn’t met a dog he doesn’t love and if they don’t take to kindly to him he is okay with that. He will leave them alone. He is neutered and sleeps well all night long with no accidents.
