Story
Hi there, I’m Mitzy!   1-year-old and 54# German Shepherd mix I have a heart full of potential and personality made for adventure! I came to the shelter as a stray and, sadly, was never reclaimed. I’m a sweet, smart, and high-energy girl who’s really struggling with the stress of shelter life. I love people and haven’t shown any reactivity toward other dogs nearby, but I haven’t been officially tested with dogs, cats, or kids just yet—stay tuned as the staff learns more about me.   If you’re looking for a loyal companion with brains, energy, and a whole lot of love to give, I just might be your perfect match. I’m the kind of pup who would thrive in a home that understands my breed and can keep up with my active lifestyle.   Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Mitzy did test positive for Lyme disease and we have started her course of antibiotics for treatment. She has received her Lyme vaccine and should be kept on flea/tick prevention year round and receive a yearly Lyme Vaccine as well! Her adoption fee is $25 thru 5/14/25 Thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters Adoption Event!   If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog Once submitted our staff will review and then contact you to set up a meet and greet! If it's a match, you can take home on the same day. Any other dogs in the home must come in for a meet & greet! We do offer a 2 week foster to adopt trial time, to be sure the chosen pet is a good fit, before finalizing the adoption!    Closed Sunday/Thursday    11-4 Saturday/Monday   11-5 Tuesday/Friday    11-6 Wednesday ##2379850##

Story
Hi, I'm Chase- a two-year-old, 75# American Pit Bull Terrier/Husky mix with muscles for days and a heart just as big! I came to the shelter after my previous owner couldn't care for me anymore, but don't worry, I haven't let that dull my shine. I'm a happy-go-lucky, spunky guy who loves people, playtime, and toys (okay, some of them don't survive my shredding skills, and I like to eat socks).   I'm potty trained and grew up around kids, so I'm pretty used to he hustle and bustle of family life. I am a big, beefy boy who sometimes forgets I'm not a lap dog, but with a little guidance and consistency, I'll be a perfect addition to an active family!   Food? Yes please! I'm highly food motivated and tend to inhale my meals, so I would do best with supervised, separated feeding, just to make sure I don't get protective over my food/treats. I haven't met any dogs up close here yet, but I've been a good boy in my kennel and don't bark or lunge at others. The staff says they'll update you as soon as they know how I do. I lived with cats in my previous home and did good with them, but occasionally bark/chase them.  If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and lovable hunk to add to your crew.. I might just be your guy!   Neutered, microchipped, heartworm & lyme negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention.   Adoption fee is $25 through 5/14/25 thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters Adoption event!!   If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog Once submitted our staff will review and then contact you to set up a meet and greet! Story
Hey there, I’m Hannah—a 3-year-old, 60#,  mixed breed with a heart full of love and the most mesmerizing eyes you’ve ever seen! One’s a stunning bright blue, and the other a warm, soulful brown. I came to the shelter as a stray with my sister, but no one ever came looking for us.   I’m incredibly affectionate and absolutely adore people. The shelter is a stressful place for me, but I’m doing my best to stay hopeful for a fresh start. I get along great with my sister and haven’t shown reactivity to other dogs nearby, but I haven’t been officially tested with other dogs, cats, or kiddos just yet.   The good news? I’m potty trained, young, and full of potential. I just need the right home to help me shine.   If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with a gentle soul and a striking look, I just might be your girl.   Spayed, microchipped, heartworm & lyme negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. $25 Adoption Fee through 5/14/25 Thanks to the Bissell Prt Foundation's Empty the Shelters Adoption Event!   If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog Once submitted our staff will review and then contact you to set up a meet and greet!
