Story
Nala is a super sweet loving girl. She is ten years old but acts like she is still a puppy. She is very food motivated and will jump three feet in the air until you give it to her. She needs a loving and caring home. She is not good with other dogs or with cats. Little kids make her very nervous so she growls and snaps but has never bitten anyone. She is very skiddish when meeting new people but it doesn’t take very long for her to warm up once she knows they are not going to hurt her. She would be great with older kiddos preteen and up. She loves my 17 year old son and they play and wrestle around. She is house broke and loves being outside when it’s warm. She is scared of thunder and will hide when she hears it. There’s plenty more that I can tell you but I’m reaching my character limit here but this is the important stuff.

Story
Meet Shelby – Your Loyal, Low-Rider Companion Shelby is a charming 7-year-old male Corgi with a big heart and short legs! This sweet boy has spent his entire life as a beloved indoor companion until his previous owner, sadly facing health issues, could no longer care for him. Now he’s looking for a new home where he can continue being the devoted sidekick he was born to be. Shelby is potty trained, friendly, and gets along well with other dogs. He has a happy, easygoing personality and would thrive in a calm, loving home. True to his Corgi nature, Shelby is smart and curious—which sometimes means he’s a little too eager to explore. He’s known to bolt out the door if given the chance, so a secure home and extra caution around open doors are a must. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle spirit and just enough spunk to keep you smiling, Shelby might be the perfect match. All Heart of America dogs are neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. The adoption fee for all of our dogs/puppies is $225. Story
Meet Chief & Blondie – A Bond Forged Through Love and Healing Chief and Blondie are an incredibly special pair of 2-year-old Chihuahua brothers, each weighing around 11 pounds. Their journey hasn’t been easy, but thanks to compassionate care and time in a nurturing foster home, they’re now ready to find a forever family—together. These boys came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation where multiple dogs were found in dire conditions, including some who had tragically passed. While Chief was in surprisingly good physical health, he was extremely under-socialized. He arrived in our care first, frightened and unsure of the world around him. But with time, patience, and love from his dedicated foster, Chief began to bloom. His foster shares, “Every positive new experience seems to build their confidence and trust in the world.” Blondie came to us shortly after Chief, once he was healthy enough to travel following surgery on his leg. Usually, we do not adopt out littermates together, as it can lead to an unhealthy dynamic where they rely too much on each other and struggle to bond with humans. However, Chief and Blondie are the rare exception. Chief’s growing confidence has become a steadying influence on Blondie, and Blondie in turn brings out a gentle sweetness in Chief. Rather than reinforcing fear, their bond is one of encouragement and balance. For their emotional wellbeing and continued progress, we are seeking a home that can welcome both boys together. Both Chief and Blondie are house-trained, friendly with other dogs, and learning every day how to trust and enjoy life. Once comfortable, they are loving, affectionate, and playful—true testaments to the resilience and loyalty of Chihuahuas. All Heart of America dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee for the pair: $400 Are you the patient, loving home these brothers have been waiting for? Dog Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog
