MEET MAY!AVAILABLE NOW BUT IF STILL SEEKING MY FUREVER FAMILY - MEET ME AT THE PAWS, PAlS, AND PET SUPPLIES PLUS ADOPTION EVENT ON SUNDAY MAY 18 FROM NOON-3PM, LOCATED AT MEADOW BROOK AMPHITHEATRE (on the campus of Oakland University) 160 FESTIVAL DRIVE, ROCHESTER HILLS, MI 48309! Estimated DOB: February 19, 2025Breed: Lab and German Shepherd mixCurrent Weight: 19 lbs May is a bright, social, and eager-to-please puppy with a wonderful personality. She is already walking well on a leash, takes treats nicely, and is learning to sit—showing her intelligence and willingness to learn. She rides well in the car and has done great with other dogs and even met a cat without any issues. As a typical puppy, May can be mouthy if not corrected, so she’ll do best with a family experienced with Shepherd breeds, as they can sometimes be stubborn. She’s a playful, active girl who will likely grow into a large-sized dog, so she’s not suited for apartment or mobile home living. May is working on house training and crate training and is eager to continue her progress with a family that can give her love, patience, and consistent guidance. She would thrive with older, dog-savvy children and an active family who can provide the mental and physical stimulation she needs. Her young months are critical for imprinting and raising the best future dog she can be—if you’re looking for a loyal, social puppy to love forever, May might be the perfect fit! May will go home in foster-to-adopt status with her new families until her spay surgery has been completed at 6 months of age at one of our partner Veterinary offices (Chesterfield, Clinton Twp, Sterling Heights, Clawson, or Rochester), which is included in the adoption fee and is non-negotiable. May is:Current on age appropriate vaccinationsDewormedReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedWill be scheduled for spay surgery at 6 months of age at one of our partner veterinary offices.  ADOPTION FEE: $375 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. OUR PRIMARY ADOPTION AREA IS WITHIN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN. ##2394180##

Good with dogs,
Story
Such a beauty Emerald is with a surprisingly soft coat mixed in with the wiry. She is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 21 pounds. Oh sweet, sweet Emerald. This shy girl wants love so badly, her quiet plea will melt your heart. Emerald may initially seem a little hesitant and shy, especially when meeting new people or exploring new environments. It takes her some time to trust and open up to others, but once she connects with you, she will be your devoted companion. The last picture of Emerald was the first one taken in her photo shoot. She was hiding on the shelf of the table, so the photographer just sat on the floor and waited. Well, darling Emerald made her way over to snuggle in her lap and ever so gently licked her hand. After a few more minutes, she got a kiss on the lips! Oh my, it was literally the sweetest thing ever. Emerald is an ideal lap dog who would flourish in a quiet, more predictable and loving home where she can feel safe and comfortable as she continues to gain confidence. As she can feel overwhelmed with a lot going on, Emerald will also need a home where any children are at least 13 years old. With patience, love, and care, Emerald will just blossom. She is eager to find a home where she can fully express her sweet and gentle nature and be showered with all the love she deserves. If you are interested in Emerald and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
