Story
Meet Puddin! Puddin is a 4–6 month old sweetheart weighing 36 pounds, with a heart as soft as her name suggests. She was found on County Road 350 in Corinth, MS, and despite her uncertain start, she’s blossoming into a playful, loving companion. This gentle girl is already showing what a wonderful family member she’ll be, she’s potty trained, does well on a leash, and feels comfortable in a kennel. While she can be a little shy at first, her playful and cuddly nature shines through quickly. Once she trusts you, she’s happiest snuggled right by your side. Puddin has had NexGard and Interceptor, and Somebody To The Rescue is covering her first week of boarding to make sure she’s fully up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested, and scheduled for her spay, so she’ll be ready for her forever home healthy and protected. Puddin is the perfect mix of playful puppy and affectionate snuggle buddy. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to grow up with, laugh with, and love for years to come, Puddin is waiting to meet you! Story
Meet Smokey, a handsome liver roan, weighing in about 50 pounds.  Smokey is a sweet senior dog with a heart full of love.  But, don't let his age fool you, this boy has plenty of energy! Smokey would thrive in a home with a large fenced yard, because he loves his outdoor time!. He's energetic and loyal, always ready for an adventure or a quiet evening by your side. Smokey craves human attention and forms strong bonds with those who care for him.  He would do well with another canine companion, who is older and laid back.  Smokey is independent and doesn't choose to engage much with other dogs, but he seems to enjoy having one nearby.  He's an intelligent boy and enjoys cuddle time with his human. He will hold onto you with his paw, and give kisses.  He will jump up on you when he's excited to see you (like when you first come home), but corrects quickly with a no.  He enjoys laying out in the yard watching the world go by and sniffing around for squirrels.  Smokey is a strong boy and will pull on a leash just like a typical brit, just trying to follow his nose and wanting to go and explore.  Smokey is being fostered in the midlands of SC.  He is housetrained, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $350 and can be transported up to 1400 miles away, with the adopter driving the last 100 miles to pick him up.  If you would like to open your heart and home to this sweet lovebug, please submit an adoption application at www.nbran.org and mention his name.  For any questions, reach out to Jessica@thesouthernway.comAugust 30, 2025, 2:31 pm
