Story
*Name: Gloria  *Age: 3 years old  *Current Weight: 10 lbs  *Adoption fee: $475 (plus $150 spay/neuter deposit, see below for more information) This gorgeous mama has been through the wringer—but you’d never know it from her sunny spirit and sweet, soulful eyes. Gloria came to us in heartbreaking condition, a clear survivor of neglect and hardship. But with love, care, and a safe place to rest her paws, she’s blossomed into the most gentle, affectionate girl you could ever meet. Gloria is great with other dogs and thrives around canine companions. She's calm, friendly, and easygoing—the kind of dog who just wants to be by your side and soak up the love she’s waited so long for. Despite everything she's been through, Gloria is trusting, loving, and so ready to start this new chapter. She’s done being a mama… now it’s her turn to be someone’s baby. Will you be the one to show Gloria the forever she deserves? IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $150 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs  ##2365093##

Story
RorrieSex: Male (neutered)Age: 4 months (born Jan 17, 2025)Weight: 20 lbs.Breed: Curr mixCoat: Brown, with light brindle pattern Behold, the pinnacle of canine companionship. Look at him, standing there on his legs like a little Rory Calhoun. His coat, a soft velvet tapestry of brown interwoven with a subtle brindle hue, would make even the most decadent throw rug blush with envy. This little bundle of joy is everything you’d want in a dog and more. An affectionate, people-loving pup who is always happy to meet someone new. He’s the kind of dog who sees a stranger and thinks, “Oh look, a friend!” Rorrie also demonstrates an admirable rapport with fellow canines. And extends his agreeable nature even to his feline counterparts . But what truly sets Rorrie apart is his eagerness to please. This little one is not only affectionate, but he is also a quick learner . Already, at just four months old, he has mastered the essential sit. And with a few more lessons, I’m confident he’ll soon add more tricks to his repertoire. He’s the type of dog who listens intently, hungering for your approval, much like a loyal subject awaiting his king’s command . When it comes to energy, Rorrie strikes a most agreeable balance. He is not the sort of dog to bounce off the walls with unrestrained enthusiasm. He’ll happily engage in spirited play (and be vocal about it, mind you), but then he will settle down just as easily, content to relax by your side . He walks beautifully on a leash, I must say . No dragging, pulling, or tomfoolery. You won’t find yourself in a tug-of-war with this pup. And crate training? You’ll be pleased to know Rorrie is an absolute champion . He’s perfectly content to rest quietly in his crate for several hours . Though, he may indulge in a soft protest if he hears you skulking about. If only to remind you that he exists and prefers your company. As for house training, Rorrie is progressing with the precision of a well-oiled machine . There’s no doubt that soon, he’ll be a beacon of housebroken perfection. If your home is in need of a loyal velvet-coated scamp to warm your lap and heart, look no further . Adopt Rorrie. He is excellent! If you are interested in Rorrie, please apply at the adoption link in the comments below or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved. ##2383036##

Story
Whitney5 months old Female Pitbull Mix22lbsSpayed Meet Whitty the Pitty Whitney came from Alabama and was raised in a shelter since she was just 5 weeks old! Whitney finally got her freedom ride to NY! Whitney is such a spunky little girl with a ton of love to give She is potty trained, crate trained, good with dogs, good with kids and unknown about cats (but I'm sure she would be good).  Whitney loves playing with her foster brother and sister who are three times her size! Don't let Whitney's size fool you. She is mighty for such a little princess and has all the energy in the world. Since she plays so hard all day, naps are mandatory for her so she can recharge   She keeps herself preoccupied throughout the day with toys and bones   Whitney loves her humans and has to inch as close as possible while cuddling on the couch or in bed   Whitney will sleep all night in her crate without a peep or an accident. She has been sleeping in bed lately with her foster mom and dad and is an angel. Cuddles are a must from her   Her foster moms favorite thing about her is her sweet personality. She is such a lover and would be a wonderful addition to someone's family who is looking for all the puppy kisses and cuddles   Whitney is also a passenger princess and holds still the whole car ride! She also walks well on a leash with some encouragement!  Whitney cannot wait to meet her forever family and show them how much love she has to give! If you are interested in Whitney, please apply at the adoption link in the comments below or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved. ##2383048##

Trooper Male (neutered)Est. DOB 12/24/202418 pounds Beagle Hound Mix  Dog friendly  Cat friendly Human friendly ‍Good boy in training  Trooper made the trip up to WNY with nothing else but his brother by his side. He traveled light in hopes to find the home that has everything he could ever need! What exactly is the one and only Trooper looking for? He is currently living in a home with three other dogs , two cats , and a growing stock pile of doggy toys! His brother keeps him the most company. He is the more confident one of the two. While he would love to play with the other dogs, they aren't really in the puppy stages anymore and he is very respectful of that. He is looking for more of a human companion than anything. He adores his brother and they play in the most loving way unless they are bickering over a special toy. His favorite is wrestling and he is a parcore enthusiast which makes for some great entertainment! ‍   Trooper has a pretty good idea of the difference between doggie toys and decor! It didn't take him long to find the doggie toy box but anything on the ground might be scooped up by this paws-on explorer. He is an Einstein in the making, inquisitive of everything in his path. Whatever you are doing, you can be sure he is right there taking notes and even lending a helpful paw!  Any crinkly bag will make this boy sit up straight! He is super treat motivated , ready to learn and is in need of some basic puppy obedience lessons! While he can be apprehensive of new things at first, he is quickly back to his goofy self. This warm weather is great for potty training! He still needs lots of potty breaks but with a structured feeding schedule he will keep his crate clean during the night and while we are away at work! After breakfast and a quick wrestling match with his brother, he loves to snooze until it is time for the next adventure of course! We are working on being comfortable on a leash. If you have a full pocket of treats he will go anywhere, just don't run out! He is great in the car! He will watch out the window for a moment before curling up and going to sleep until you reach your destination. Sleeping alone at night might be an adjustment once adopted into a new home. Right now he sleeps in his crate without a peep during the night.   Interested in meeting Trooper? Let us know, his foster mom is ready to tell you all about him!  Our favorite thing about Trooper is how snuggly he is. He loves to curl up right in your lap, or anywhere he feels close to you.. sometimes even on your head! If you are interested in Trooper, please apply at the adoption link in the comments below or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved. ##2383042##
