She is seriously one of the most amazing, hilarious, chatty, loving, magical, unreal, goofy, sweet, comical, and entertaining dogs I’ve ever met, and did I say amazing? Or chatty? This girl has been doing great with both our male and female dogs, but she especially has taken a liking to our female and wants to play play play with her. She’s an adorable bull in a china shop when she plays and plays very well. My camera roll can speak to how fun it is to watch her play. She’s also been doing great with our senior kitty. Laylah has lots of opinions on life and what you’re doing, what the neighbors are doing, what the other animals in the house are doing, what people across the street are doing, what the dog barking across the neighborhood is doing, how you’re driving, how other people are driving etc…these opinions are downright hilarious but that said she should not go to any living situation where there are shared walls (apartment, condo, duplex, etc). Your neighbors will file a noise complaint immediately. Speaking of noise, this girl could get a job making sound effects - there are times she sounds like a car that won’t turn over, a pig, a horse, a cow, a gremlin, and the list goes on and on. Laylah is seriously one of the sweetest and loving dogs I’ve ever met. Everyone who meets her falls madly in love, and she is a hit wherever she goes. If you’re sitting on the couch, she will dive into your lap to cuddle and won’t leave. She desperately wants to be loved on and hasn’t met a single person she hasn’t wanted to make out with. Laylah loves to go on walks, and she walks pretty well with a harness. She does well on walks in cooler weather, but with that short snout of hers, she will struggle with breathing as it gets warmer out. Her forever family needs to be cautious of her ability to easily overheat and take the right precautions to not put her in situations where she will be in the heat for long periods. Laylah kennels during the day when we’re at work, and although she protests with choice words, she keeps her kennel clean and in one piece. She has a history of eating things she shouldn’t, so kenneling her or at least confining her to a space where she can’t get into anything is in her best interest. Laylah has only had one accident in our house, but it was our fault; we didn’t let her out shortly after drinking a lot of water. Laylah, or loudmouth Laylah as we loving call her, has wiggled her way deep into our hearts and although she will take a piece of our hearts with her when she’s adopted we are so excited for her to meet her forever family and live the rest of her years as the spoiled bougie girl she is. She deserves only the best of the best. Is it you?To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org May 8, 2025, 9:45 pm

If you qualify and are interested in participating in this program, please fill out an application online and type "SENIOR" after your name.   Winkie is ready to find the perfect lap to lay on.    Foster Home Feedback  ** No apartments/shared walls Foster Home Feedback 5/8/25: I’ve had Winkie for a little over a month now. In that time she’s been spayed (no more puppies for you sweet girl-at age 8, I can only imagine how many litters she’s had) and she had a dental where the vet did SIX extractions. I can’t imagine how much pain those rotting teeth caused.   Winkie is all shined up and ready for a much happier chapter in her life . After looking at her photo album, you’ll see where she got her name. Poor Winkie  is missing an eye. She was a pup that came to us via the pound when she wasn’t claimed so we don’t know her history but it appears she’s had a tough life….until now!!!!! If you want a little tiny dog who wants nothing more than a lap, she’s your girl! Winkie has  been sleeping in a kennel at our house, buried in blankets, but I’m pretty sure she’d love to co-sleep with you if you’d let net!  Winkie  gets along great with our dogs. She loves every human she’s met and immediately tries out their lap! Despite being so small, she loves going for walks and can keep up with my dogs in speed and distance! Winkie’s voice is her love language so I’m not sure an apartment  would be the best set up. She barks when she’s excited, like meal time, walk time, potty break time, when a door slams. You get my drift! Oh and if dressing up is your bag, she’s the girl for you!!!!!!  Loves a good sweater or ruffle dress!   Temporary Care Feedback 5/8/25: We were able to foster-sit Winkie when she first arrived. Winkie is the perfect combo of a good snuggler and active girl, where she loves her walks. She's a smart girl and immediately recognized the walking route by the second time we went. She did great with my third grader and 7th grader  kids as well as my husband. Winkie and my very scared elderly cat made eye contact a couple of times, but she never barked or chased after my cat, even after my cat ran away. Winkie is a very sweet girl and was a really good house guest for the weekend! To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org May 8, 2025, 10:07 pm
