COURTESY LISTING FOR OWNER – CALL BRIDGETTE @ 701-840-3918 Biscuit and Gravy are 6 year old Aussiedoodles. They are bonded and must remain together. They are siblings – female is white & male is brown. They are spayed & neutered and current on vaccinations. Biscuit & Gravy are good with kids, curious about cats and other dogs as long as the dogs are not aggressive towards them. Biscuit is hesitant towards strangers, but Gravy loves everyone! They love playing fetch and going for walks in the country so they can run and play. Call Bridgette at 701-840-3918 if you’d like to add this amazing brother & sister pair to your home. Anyone inquiring about Courtesy Listings with the Sheyenne Valley Friends of Animals (SVFA) should contact the current pet owner for answers to any questions and for final approval and placement. SVFA has no first-hand knowledge of the animals listed. SVFA explicitly disclaims any liability for any situation arising from this private adoption nor makes any guarantees about the health or safety of these animals.

Story
HI - I'M PHOENIX! I'm a handsome, healthy and rugged 9-1/2-year-old Rottie-Dobie mix in need of a foster or forever home. I lost my previous foster home due to no fault of mine, and I really miss having people around to snuggle in the evenings. A little bit about me: I was rescued from a shelter a couple years ago, where I was a shelter favorite, and am currently waiting for someone to adopt me. I weigh about 80 lbs. Despite my age, I am active and I'm a very loving dog. I'll do well with an active person or people who can take me for walks and hikes. I have many positive traits - I am affectionate, I walk well on a leash, and I am a loyal and sweet dog. I will be your best friend for life. I also prefer to have my person or people around, but that can be expected of most dogs! I am not a barker unless it is warranted. I can also be a bit protective of my people and our property, which can be a good thing. While I get along with dogs I know (especially female dogs around my size), I can be reactive on a leash toward dogs I don't know. However, I really do like female dogs - I currently love to hang out and go on walks with my girlfriend Darla, a Doberman. And I love human attention and affection - I love to hug and be hugged! I'd do well with a strong owner, too. I weigh about 80 lbs. Please email for an application. I'm currently in California, but can be transported to you in Fargo after Labor Day.

Cadabra is the perfect fit. This girl loves walks, napping, every single person that will give pets, and sticks (the bigger the better!). She seems to handle the kennel fine but she does shift a lot when she is in there and doesn’t seem to rest well - I have been letting Cadabra have free roam of the guest bedroom and we have had no problems. She sleeps most of the time I’m gone - and most of the time I’m home and busy. She rarely voices her opinions vocally, but will sit impatiently by the door if it has been too long. Our girl is a little chunky but is working on losing some weight. Cadabra  really only knows sit and shake but can be directed to lay down and stay there. She doesn’t beg for food 99% of the time. She has decent leash manners and is easily redirect on a walk and inside. Cadabra  has interacted really well with other dogs her size. She seems interested in cats but was easily redirected as the cat did not like dogs. Cadabra was just interested in the other animal in the house and wasn’t upset by it. She is playful when you instigate and her happy stomps and big bows make everyone smile. Her happy demeanor and mild deposition would make a great fit for a whole range of people. Someone is going to win the lottery with this sweetheart.  8/25/25/ Volunteer Feedback: Cadabra is a cheerful, affectionate girl with a truly contagious smile. She has a friendly nature and greets everyone with enthusiasm and genuine warmth. She’s an excellent walking partner, maintaining a relaxed pace and rarely pulling on the leash. Whether you’re heading out for a neighborhood stroll or spending a quiet afternoon at home, Cadabra is happiest simply being with her people. If you're looking for a loyal, easygoing companion with a heart full of joy, Cadabra would be the perfect match!   8/13/2025 Volunteer Feedback: Cadabra was returned to the rescue through no fault of her own, and now she’s settling back in at our shelter. As of this writing, she’s been with us for about five days—and she’s made herself right at home. While many dogs can grow restless in the shelter environment, Cadabra has taken it all in stride. She’s calm, easygoing, and content to relax rather than stir up a fuss. Based on the feedback from her previous adopter and the way she carries herself here, it’s clear she has the makings of a wonderful companion. She walks well on a leash, is fully potty trained, and remains peaceful in her kennel. Cadabra’s mellow nature and adaptable personality suggest she’d thrive in a variety of homes and lifestyles. 3/23/2022 Foster Feedback: Cadabra loves to cuddle and is not so adventurous. She loves tug, toys, and balls. She still has some accidents but potty training is going well. She has typical puppy behavior. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org August 30, 2025, 8:21 pm
