Story
Hello from the mother land :) and by that I mean EARTH :) My name is Rossi and I am likely one of the most pupular breed mixes in TX- that would be Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees!! Now, me and my siblings didn't arrive with a mama or daddy with us so based on our size, fur, characteristics and markings the rescue deduced our fantastic breed mix! We may have some CHIHUAHUA in the mix as well, you never know when puppies come off the streets without parents :( Yes you heard that right... we were bottle babies taken to the pound at about 2 weeks old ;( It makes you wonder where the humanity is these days :( HOWEVER, we were saved by a wonderful bottle baby mama who fostered us for the rescue. And NOW LOOK AT ME!! I am a big sweet cuddly loving fluffy pup with years of love to give!! You can look at my siblings too- two already adopted but take a gander and Morgan, Millicent, Riley, or Reid! We are a beautiful group of pups looking for our one true loves! maybe that is you :) ADOPT ONE OF US SOON :) We are waiting!!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
This is Moose, literally the BEST boy.Mr. Moose is a dog whose has been through more than his fair share of heartache. After losing his lifelong human, he came to FDHS searching for comfort and connection. He was adopted briefly, but the match wasn’t quite right for his needs. When Moose returned to us, he wasn’t feeling like himself—and thanks to our incredible medical team, we discovered he was battling anaplasmosis from a tick bite. With the right treatment and a whole lot of love, Moose bounced back and began to heal.Just as things started to improve, Moose was unfortunately attacked by another dog—through no fault of his own—and had to recover both physically and emotionally once again. During that time, we made him our temporary office dog, and Moose absolutely shined. He was perfection. Quiet, gentle, and endlessly polite, Moose would curl up beside our desks, content just to be near someone. He listened beautifully and brought so much calm to the space.Moose is about 8–9 years old, with a powdered sugar muzzle and cloudy eyes that speak of the life he’s lived. He’s looking for a peaceful home where he can feel safe, loved, and never alone for too long. He’d be a wonderful companion for someone who works from home or a stay-at-home parent—especially since he adores children. Moose also does well with polite, respectful dogs, but he’s a little too curious about cats, so a feline-free home is best.Everyone at FDHS is a huge Moose fan and we all love him dearly. Dogs like Moose are few and far between. We know his perfect match is out there! Moose’s adoption fee is fully sponsored.**Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 50 lbs**

Miniature Pinscher

House-trained,
Story
Layla is a 2-year-old Miniature Pinscher with a whole lot of love packed into a tiny frame. She was recently surrendered due to her previous owner's declining health—a heartbreaking decision, as Layla was clearly very loved. Now, she’s looking for a new human to claim as her own… and a lap to rule from. This little lady lives for belly rubs, walks, tasty snacks, and all of the attention. She’s a cuddle queen through and through, happiest when curled up right in your lap (her favorite spot in the entire world).Layla has a laid-back, low-drama personality and isn’t one to cause trouble. She's reportedly puppy pad trained, house-trained, okay with baths, and generally just a very good girl. She’s been around other dogs and seems tolerant, though she may give chase to a cat now and then... oops. She does tend to bond deeply with one person and can get a little protective of her human, so she’d do best in a calmer, adult-only home where she can be the center of someone’s world. Kids aren’t really her vibe.If you’re ready to treat Layla like the tiny princess she is—feel free to submit an adoption application!
