Story
Hi, I'm Mango! I'm a happy-go-lucky girl on the lookout for a loving family to call my own. I am part husky—but in a fun-sized, mini version! I'm sweet, loyal, smart, and playful, and I’m always eager to please. A couple of treats is all it takes for us to become best friends. I absolutely love being outside and would be thrilled to have a yard to play in. Water is one of my favorite things—whether it’s chasing sprinklers or splashing in the rain, I’m all in! I also enjoy long walks and would be so happy with a family who shares my love of the outdoors and adventures. Toys are another big favorite of mine—I play nicely with them and never tear them up. I get along great with other dogs and love to run and chase. I’m also good with cats and kids of all ages. When it's time to wind down, I'm calm and relaxed, I love to curl up beside you on the couch for some loves and belly rubs. At night I sleep in my kennel, which I consider my safe space. As a husky-mix I can get bored and find myself getting into trouble if I'm not given enough stimulation. I have made great improvements with this at my new foster home but I would do best in an active family and/or with another active dog to play with. I've I also been working on not barking back at the neighbor dogs, and I’m picking it up quickly! I already know how to sit and lie down like a pro. I'm also already potty trained and crate trained. Hopefully my new family will help me continue to help me learn to become the best version of myself I can be.  Mango is being fostered in Salem, OR. We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in various cities.  We do not have a shelter. All of our adoptable pets are living with foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. Our application review takes about 10 days.  This adoption process will require 3 videos of (outside of your home, backyard, and inside of your home) since we are not able to conduct home checks at this time. We will be calling 2 references (Not related to you please). We will be contacting your veterinarian (We work with 1st time owners) to make sure you have vaccinated all your pets yearly, and that all have been spayed/neutered. If needed, our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Montana & Canada. We will book your baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received.  If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then please fill out the application form found at Springbranchrescue.org. ##1820545##

What my friends at OHS say about me:I may be a big lady, but I promise I am a gentle giant! Is there a dog shaped hole in your heart? I can fix that!I would flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I may be shy at first, but once we get to know each other I will shower you with love!I am a social love bug with people and will snuggle into you or nose you for pets.I'm not really built for endurance, so I am not a good option for someone who wants a hiking buddy. I'm a more cuddle on the couch and get pizza delivery kind of dog.I lived with a cat in my last home!Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment. The type of home I'm looking for:I will need to meet any canine companions prior to getting adopted. It could be with you!
