Spayed or Neutered,
Story
I found frosty at a kennel and instantly fell in love, after working with him everyday for a few months I finally took him home. I took him in as a foster, but overtime have realized he deserves someone who can spend more time with him and more time training him. He is four years old, and only knows a few basic tasks that I have taught him. He was found in California, locked in a backyard with his mother, he had no clue how to play with toys, play with other dogs, and never had a place he felt safe enough to relax. Over the last few months he’s been amazing with my dog and every dog he’s come into contact with, and has been good with people as long as he’s introduced right. He’s become very protect of me and my family and has issues with being alone with other people. I feel he would be a perfect “one person” dog, and amazing guard dog.

Story
Adventure-seeking, nose-following, smart, and playful Husky seeks forever guardian(s) to adventure with, play with, and snuggle! Klondike is our 62 lb, about 4-year-old Husky fella who *loves* a sniffing adventure and would likely excel in a nosework class with his guardian. He has gone on hikes with staff and loves the adventure. He loves his enrichment—both mental and physical—as well as a nice nap after his needs are met. He’s an active guy looking for an active home with a fenced yard. He’s done so well in our yards here at POOCH—he’s never tried to go over or under the fences, which is A+++ for a Husky! He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all of his vaccinations. Being the smarty pants that I am, my friends here at POOCH are helping me be my best self through appropriate enrichment: playing, sniffing, shredding, brain games, food dispensing toys, and learning! I have done well playing with my dog friend here at POOCH, so if you have another dog we could see if we can be friends, or I could be your one and only as well—I’m a flexible fella! I am neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all of my vaccinations. If you’re ready to be adventurous together, meet my amazingly special mental needs, and be rewarded with lots of love and fur on your clothes, fill out an application to be my forever person today! Likes: People! Being outside! Other dogs! Agility games & equipment. Dislikes: Not being able to be active. Get more info at pooch.org/klondike

Story
Are you the quiet type? Low traffic home, hang out in the yard, have soft things to lay on? If so, you just might be the match for Fozzy! Fozzy is a shepherd mix who is about 2 years old and weighs in at 69.1 lbs. He is a sensitive fella who will appreciate patience from his new guardian(s) while he gets comfortable in his new home with new people. Your patience will be rewarded with a playful fella who loves his toys and snuggling up to his stuffed animals. Fozzy really loves being outside, so bonus points for having a fenced yard with a deck or patio with an outdoor dog bed for him to lay on while enjoying the scenery. Fozzy walks really nicely on his leash and enjoys his walking adventures. He is a bit too interested in cats though, so a home without them would be best. Fozzy has become much more confident in his time at POOCH and will be looking to continue that in his forever home. Fozzy is neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on his vaccinations. Kids 16+, no cats. Likes: Being outside. Hanging out with people. Sniffy walks. Dislikes: Cats.

Story
Looking for a velcro dog who is also head of the neighborhood watch? Look no further! Brutus will keep a watchful eye on you AND everything happening inside & outside of your home. With over 150 vocal sounds, you'll never get bored of what he has to say. Brutus had a sad start to life, he & his siblings were thrown in a trash bag & abandoned. He came to us when he was just one month old. We were hoping to keep him, but unfortunately his high energy & loud vocals are too much for our autistic son. Brutus has been raised with our female catahoula, & our male cat, & has been the dominant one since day one. He gets along great with the cat, playing & herding him. While he does get along with our dog, he has shown aggression, tends to invade her space, take what she has etc. For this reason, we recommend him being the only dog. He has been around kids under 5 short term & did well, but we're not sure how he would do long term with young children.

Good with kids,
Story
We got Abby from a friend when she was around 6 months old. We were told she is a pure bred, but have not had that confirmed. She has not had any litters. Shes about 2.5 years old now. This girl is a ball of energy, once she trusts you she loves you hard. She does chase our cats around but has never harmed them. Is GREAT around kids (see picture). We have noticed that she is shy around males. We have never had her inside our home, so I cant say how shell be indoors. Were looking for a home for her where she can be loved and have a companion.

Story
Halo is a very sweet dog. She loves our kids and us and when she gets excited her little tail starts wagging. She will bark when unkown people come to door. She likes to chase cats but hasn't hurt one. She gets along with our other dogs, but at times becomes territorial over her food and toys when my other dogs are nearby. I can no longer keep her and my English Mastiff together at any time. She cannot be allowed around chickens and or small indoor pets such as guinea pigs. She should be the only dog in a house due to uncertainty around other animals. If she was my only dog I would keep her as she is such a sweet dog to us, but unfortunately I can't keep her and my English Mastiff together. She is still in-tact because I cannot afford to get her spayed due to an economic hardship during the last year.
