Story
She is sensitive and fearful, and needs time to build trust—but once she feels safe, she becomes incredibly affectionate and loving. Cléo will thrive in a calm home with adopters who are willing to move at her pace and respect her boundaries. She is already house-trained and enjoys several short daily walks adapted to her weight, as well as mental enrichment and chewing activities that help ease her stress. Her biggest challenges are being left alone, being handled, and adapting to new environments, all of which can cause her anxiety. With a compassionate approach, the use of recommended protocols, and guidance from a certified dog trainer, Cléo has great potential to flourish. She needs a home where patience and respect lead the way, and where every small step forward is celebrated. Giving Cléo a chance means welcoming a vulnerable soul with a tremendous capacity for love.Cleo - 0035029204Âge / Age : 10 ans / 10 years oldFemelle / FemaleRace (s) / Breed (s) : MixPoids / Weight : 41.4 kg

Story
Meet Jewel. Jewel is a 7.5 year old female Australian Shepherd, Blue heeler & Husky mix whose young daddy died suddenly. She was found after 2 days of staying by his side. She is a calm old soul with eyes that are human-like. She is very sweet, affectionate & loves to be by your side. She is good with dogs & cats & is a loving dog who deserves a great family to love and spoil her. For those who remember the show from the 80’s ‘The littlest hobo’, she has the identical facial markings. Sometimes a dog takes a little more time to open up, you may see them showing more and more of their personality over the course of the first few days, weeks or even months. We don’t know all that they’ve been through before they were rescued, but they are so forgiving and full of love and it’s worth every tough moment in the end. Developing a trusting relationship with your rescue dog is the most important thing. Stability, patience, positive reinforcement and love are the most important things! Jewel is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and sterilized and will come with her medical booklet. Voici Jewel.

Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
Freyja is a 9-month-old German Shepherd / Cane Corso mix. She is absolutely lovely, we adore her and hate to let her go, but she is aggressive towards our cats. Training has not been able to overcome this instinct, and so we have taken the difficult decision that ours is not the right home for her. She weighs 55lb / 25kg, and at our last visit two days ago the vet said he did not think she would grow much more. Obviously that is only an opinion but she does seem to be towards the smaller end of this mix. She loves playing with balls (can give recommendation for the only ones she seems not to destroy), going for walks (although she is still figuring out the not pulling on the leash thing), and tummy rubs. The only reason we need to find her a new home is her cat thing. So if you have cats, she is not the dog for you. Please note we are located on the western edge of Val Des Monts not far from Wakefield, but the system would only allow me to enter Gatineau as our city.
