Story
Looking for a loyal companion who values both love and independence? Dolla Bill might just be your perfect match. At 2 years old and a solid 60.4 lbs of handsome mutt energy, Dolla is friendly, chill, and has a heart of gold—he just likes to do things on his own terms. He’s neutered, medically up-to-date, and ready to cash in on a forever home. While he enjoys your company and has plenty of love to give, Dolla Bill is a bit aloof and prefers a home where personal space is respected. Think of him as the strong, silent type who’ll sit near you (but maybe not on you), always keeping a watchful eye and quietly appreciating your presence. If you’re looking for a sweet pup with a cool, calm vibe, Dolla Bill is ready to invest in you. Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.

Story
Millie is four years old, a lab retriever, red heeler mix. We adopted her at nine months and she has been the best family dog for us! We are moving to a big city and are not able to bring her with us. We have lived in a rural environment, and she has loved the room to run. She is absolutely the best with kids and is very attuned to emotions. She would be a great support dog! She loves going on runs, is house trained, spayed, and updated on shots.

Story
Chaske is the brother of Blue. They are very similar in personality. They have been living together, but would do best in homes of their own. Chaske is also an affectionate boy who enjoys spending time with people. He hasn't spent a lot of time around children, cats, or dogs outside of his brother, but we are working on that socialization and think that he would make a great companion.

Story
Blue is a one year old male who is in need of a new home. He has spent a significant amount of time on a tie out, which is not ideal for his age. Despite this, he seems like a friendly boy who would love to have a family to spend time with! He is affectionate. He is young so still has some energy, but isn't overwhelming. He likes to be around people and enjoys going for walks.

Story
Tyr is a great dog who has grown up with children. He is urgently in need of a new home. At his previous home, he would get loose in town and has killed chickens. For this reason, he is not allowed to live in the town of Winner, SD. That being said, with a fenced in yard and responsible owner, he would thrive in a family environment. He is a sweet dog who would love to be back in a home!
