Story
Hi there, future forever family! My name is Celine (at least I think it is—I’m still learning!), and I’m an 8-year-old mini Golden Doodle with a big heart and an even bigger love for cuddles. Someone once called me a lap dog, and honestly, I’ve never looked back. If I could spend my whole day curled up in your lap getting pets, I’d be in absolute heaven.I’m a gentle soul who adores being around people—big and small. Kids? Love ‘em. Other dogs? Love them too! And guess what? I’m even great with cats. I’ve got a calm, sweet nature that makes me a pretty easygoing companion. I’m fully potty trained (yay me!), and I’m currently working on my crate training. It’s going well, but I’ll need a little more time to feel totally at home in there. I’m also learning that walks can actually be fun—even though sometimes I like to stop in my tracks and remind you who's in charge (spoiler: it’s still you).Even though I might not always respond to “Celine” yet, I’m a great listener. I just want to please and be near the people I love. So, if you're looking for a loving, loyal, low-key best friend who’s happiest snuggled up next to you, I just might be your girl. I can’t wait to meet you and find out what forever feels like. With lots of love and tail wags,CelineYou can apply for me at: https://www.fetchfosterandrescue.com/adoptName: CelineD.O.B: 11/23/2017Breed: Golden Retriever/Poodle MixSex: FemaleWeight: 18 lbsAltered: YesAdoption Fee: 400Good with cats: Yes, I don't mind cats.Good with dogs: Yes, I enjoy the company of other dogs.Good with kids: I'm been loving the kids I've been around!Special Requirements: None.*Positive reinforcement obedience training is a great way to bond with your new family member. Story
Sitka: Timid Heart, Quiet Hope - Searching for a love like no other Female • Spayed • DOB 11/10/2018Currently in Boarding – Naperville, IL Sitka is gentle and reserved, with big, curious eyes that speak louder than words. She never lived in fear—but she never knew love either. Neglected her whole life, Sitka is now fearful of people, unsure how to accept affection she’s never had. She’s spayed, dewormed, fully vetted, and current on all vaccinations. Right now she’s in boarding in Naperville, but Sitka needs a calm, patient home where she can decompress, feel safe, and learn to trust at her own pace. Aussies are naturally bright, sensitive, and deeply connected once they bond. Sitka has all that potential—she just needs time and a person of her own. To help her develop independence and confidence, Sitka needs to be separated from her dog family, as their close pack dynamic causes them to emotionally rely on each other and avoid people. Sitka is a blank canvas. With your patience and the nurturing environment she’s never had, she’ll become a loyal, loving companion—just like every Aussie was born to be. ##2379656##

Story
Denali: The Sweetest Face You’ve Ever Seen Female • Spayed • Est. DOB 2016Currently in Boarding – Naperville, IL With one of the sweetest, most soulful faces, Denali is truly stunning. She’s also incredibly gentle. As the mother of this group of Aussies, she protected her pups in the only way she knew how—quietly and calmly, despite a life of long-term neglect. Denali wasn’t abused, but she was never given attention, love, or time. She’s now fearful of people, unsure how to respond to kindness—but there’s a softness about her that says she’s ready. Denali is spayed, dewormed, fully vetted, and up to date on vaccinations. She’s currently in boarding in Naperville, but that’s not where a dog like her will thrive. She needs a quiet home to decompress, gain confidence, and learn how wonderful life can be with people who care. To help her come out of her shell, Denali should be separated from her pack, as they retreat emotionally when kept together. One-on-one attention will allow her to grow. Australian Shepherds are sensitive, intuitive, and deeply loyal. Denali is no different—she’s just never had someone to bond with. Could you be her person? ##2379652##

Story
Kenai: A Christmas Boy with a Heart Ready to Heal Male • Neutered • DOB 12/25/2014Currently in Boarding – Naperville, IL Kenai was born on Christmas Day, but the gifts of love and stability have never come his way—until now. As the father of this rescued group, Kenai is the most confident and curious of the pack. Like many Australian Shepherds, he’s intelligent, observant, and quick to learn—he’s simply never had the opportunity to be someone’s dog. Kenai was found after years of neglect—not abuse, but a life with little human interaction or affection. Now, he’s timid and fearful, but not broken. With guidance and love, he’ll absolutely thrive. Kenai is neutered, dewormed, fully vetted, and up to date on shots. He’s currently in boarding in Naperville, but what he truly needs is a quiet foster home to decompress, get individualized attention, and learn to enjoy cuddles, leashes, and life inside a home. To build confidence, Kenai must be separated from his pack, as they lean on each other and withdraw from people when kept together. Independent placement will help him blossom. Australian Shepherds are loyal, eager to bon ##2379651##

Story
Powder: A Soft Spirit in Need of a Gentle Hand - Her soul needs a patient loving heart to connect with... Female • Spayed • DOB 11/10/2018Currently in Boarding – Naperville, IL Powder is soft, delicate, and quietly beautiful—inside and out. She was born into a life of neglect, never mistreated, but never nurtured either. She’s now fearful and unsure, not because of trauma—but because no one ever took the time to show her love. Like most Australian Shepherds, Powder is highly intelligent and sensitive. She will flourish in a calm, structured environment where she feels safe and understood. Powder is spayed, dewormed, fully vetted, and up to date on her shots. She’s currently in boarding in Naperville, but what she needs is a quiet foster home to decompress, where she can learn about the joy of human touch, gentle cuddles, and daily companionship. To help her become independent and confident, Powder should be separated from her pack, as she leans heavily on them and avoids engaging with people when they are together. Powder has never had the chance to bond with a person—and Aussies thrive on that connection. She’s waiting for someone who will finally show her what that feels like. ##2379654##
