About Our Rescue Group:

SOAR is a non profit canine rescue organization. We are an all breed rescue and mostly have small dogs and puppies, and are always taking in medical needy dogs. We rescue from the local animal shelters and from owners who can no longer keep their dogs. We spay/neuter, microchip, fully vaccinate, deworm, frontline, health check, and evaluate the temperate of all of our dogs... We run strictly on donations.

Our Adoption Process:

For Dog Adopters:
Adoption donation required. This covers altering, 6 in 1 series vaccinations to date of adoption, Bordetella Vaccination, Rabies vaccination if over four months, Microchip, Deworming, Parasite testing, frontline, grooming, full veterinary examination, and temperament evaluation. All SOAR dogs go through a ten day quarantine period to insure they are healthy, before being put up for adoption. Though if the dog is an owner turn in and has been to a vet within the last ten days they go immediately up for adoption, with a further exam at the time of altering. If for any reason the dog does not work out in your family we will take the dog back into our care at any time during the lifetime of the dog. (We require that the said do be returned to us, as per contract. Please read further details on our main page on the last section of our adoption procedure.)

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
