Howlin4Spirit Companion Animal Rescue - NC
About Our Rescue Group
We rescue adoptable homeless dogs from high-kill animal control facilites & negelectful situtations in western NC. We also work with rescue groups in the New England area to help place many healthy, companion animals into loving homes, in an area where their spay/neuter regulations are working.

Our Adoption Process
All dogs are fully-vetted, speutered, dewormed with Drontal, checked for heartworms, vaccinated per their age requirements(puppies need 4 booster vax, given every 3 wks), microchipped, all puppies are quarantined(2-3 week period), and placed in a foster home situation, while awaiting their forever homes. Upon contact, we send out an adoption application for potential adopters. This allows us to evaluate which dog(s)would best suit their family, environment, and lifestyle. We, then, review their situation and desires, check their references, and contact them as soon as this has been accomplished. Home checks are required. Fees are set on an individual basis, and range between $100-$150.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog
or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from
a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
