English Cocker Spaniel Club of America Rescue
About Our Rescue Group
We are the AKC parent club for the breed and our rescue program has been in existence since 1989. We take pride in the care and attention we give to our dogs before they are adopted. We deal only with English cockers and our volunteers are very knowledgeable about and love the breed. We do our best to find the right people for the dogs, not vice versa. All dogs are brought up to date on routine care, are microchipped, neutered if needed, and given other appropriate medical attention. Although we always prefer to place dogs locally , we can have dogs shipped (at the adopter's expense). Home checks are done as much as possible given geographic restraints.
Come Meet our Pets
Dogs are available on a limited basis throughout the country . An application form must be completed for current or future dogs. We do refer to our waiting list first when a dog becomes available.
Our Adoption Process
Adoption fee is $200. Adoption application form is available at http://ecsca.org/Adoptionform.html You may also call if you are interested in a specific dog.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog
or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from
a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
