Colona Animal Shelter

Hi. My name is Suzanne Bogart. I am the Interim Chief of Police for the Colona Police Department. I enjoy assisting with our Shelter and am dedicated to the welfare of our animals and homeless pets. Our Animal Control Officer, Roger Reed, and our Administrative Secretary, Laura LaMantia, are also working hard to find homes for the many wonderful animals that come to our shelter.

Regretfully, due to a lack of space and funding, our agency has been forced to euthanize when the shelter becomes too full. It is a heartbreaking experience when we must choose to euthanize one of our four-legged friends due to a lack of space, manpower, and funding, but we are always searching for ways in which to save each and every one of them no matter how long it takes. Until then, we will work to continue adopting out as many of these wonderful creatures as possible.

If you are looking for a dog or cat, I hope you will consider checking our shelter. We might just have your "new best friend" housed there.
