About Our Rescue Group:

The Atlanta Dog Squad is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to placing abandoned and unwanted Retrievers in new homes.

We rescue, foster and find permanent homes for Labrador, Golden, Chesapeake Bay, Flat Coated and Curly Coated Retrievers, as well as Retriever mixes.

There are so many Retrievers in need in the metro Atlanta area and the state of Georgia. We hope that we can help - one dog at a time.

MAKE A TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION
All donations to The Atlanta Dog Squad are tax-deductible. We are a not for profit 501(c)(3) charity. We are funded by private donations and adoption fees and we have no paid staff. All proceeds go directly to support our Retrievers. We also qualify for most company's matching gift programs. Check with your company to see if they have a matching program in place. If they do, just send us the paperwork. We'll do the rest!

Come Meet our Pets:

Please join us at our next scheduled Meet N Greet at PetCo off Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell. It is next to Kohls and across from Centennial High School. We will be there every other Saturday. Please check our web site for our next scheduled event and for the address.

Our Adoption Process:

Please visit our website at http://www.atlantadogsquad.org to read our Rules For Adoption as well as Adoption Fees. If you are interested in adopting one of our retrievers, please complete an application and a volunteer will contact you shortly.
There is a $20 non-refundable application fee.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
