ADOPTION PROCESS

Complete the Adoption Application (click on website link)
Provide Veterinary records / reference for current or most recent pets

Proof of home ownership or landlord permission / copy of lease

Adoption Contract competed and signed

Adoption amount paid in full
Kittens have an adoption donation of $95.00 that covers the cost of: 1st shots, worming and a prepaid spay neuter certificate at Salmon River Veterinary clinic. (If you live out of state and prefer to use your own Vet, the adoption fee is $50 which covers: 1st shots and worming. You must provide proof of prepaid spay neuter from your vet.)

Adult cats have an adoption donation of $95.00 that covers: Spay or neuter, up to date shots and testing for Feline Aids and Leukemia.

Dogs have an adoption donation of $165.00 that covers: Spay or Neuter, up to date shots and heartworm testing.

*** Please keep in mind that the above adoption donations may vary depending on the animal and only partly cover our costs of caring for them. ***

Cats being adopted MUST be taken home in a secure cat carrier. (Please supply your own.)

Dogs being adopted MUST be wearing a collar and be leashed. (Please supply your own.)

ASAPNWRI is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to finding loving homes for abandoned, abused and homeless animals. ASAPNWRI consists solely of volunteers. Our goals are to rescue animals and educate the public on the benefits of altering companion animals.

We do NOT have a shelter so our rescue consists solely of foster homes We have no overhead and no staff so 100% of all donations go for direct animal care.

We are always in need of food, litter, kitten formula, frontline /revolution flea products, cat carriers, blankets, towels etc.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
