Rescue Unlimited
About Our Rescue Group
Rescue Unlimited is a PRIVATE group of volunteers that help in the placement process of pets from kill shelters. While our specialty is Australian Cattle Dogs, we frequently have other breeds and mixes listed. Each dog listed is up to date on all medical necessities, taught good social skills with people and other dogs and when possible, started in basic obedience. Our adult dogs live in a loving home with a foster family and is crate trained and housebroken, though some listed are still in shelters and have urgent need of being adopted. Puppies are adopted very quickly...usually within days of being listed. We work closely with shelters in providing dogs a second chance for a new life. We are NOT a shelter and do not have a public facility to visit. Any available animal in local foster care may be visited by appointment and only after a potential adopter has been pre-approved. **PLEASE NOTE** We list as a courtesy, many other animals available for adoption that are in shelters or rescues. Many of these pets are located in various parts of the country. Please read the pets bio for specific information on location and contact info.
Come Meet our Pets
We are a small group who infrequently has puppies in need available. We have a few wonderful adult dogs looking for their perfect forever home & can be seen by appointment. Our volunteers are located all around New England and in TN.
Our Adoption Process
Each adoption is contingent upon an application, homecheck, contract and adoption fee. Adoption fees are $250 for each pet. Some of our pets are fostered/located outside the New England area (please see pets bio for that info) No pet will be placed without having been spayed or neutered, with the exception of small, young puppies, which will be sent home with a strict spay/neuter contract. No exceptions.
**WE DO NOT ADOPT TO HOMES WITH CHILDREN UNDER 7 YEARS.** We also help potential adopters make contact with other breed rescues to help them find that special, new family member. ->Please email us for a copy of our questionnaire. We are funded soley by adoption fees, donations and personal funds, which go 100% towards the care of dogs in critical need. Donations are always welcomed.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog
or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from
a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
