Pets at Our Shelter:
Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:Bloomingdale Regional Animal Shelter (BASS) serves the towns of Bloomingdale, Butler, Pompton Lakes, Ringwood, Riverdale and Wanaque
About Our Shelter:BASS is a volunteer, non-profit organization that takes in lost, abandoned or owner released animals from Bloomingdale, Butler, Pompton Lakes, Ringwood, Riverdale and Wanaque. Each month we must raise enough money to pay for food, veterinary bills, utilities and maintenance. We rely solely on donations and BASS fundraisers to care for the 750+ animals that come through our shelter each year. With only a few part-time employees and a small group of dedicated volunteers, it is an enormous task to clean the shelter, care for the animals as well as organize fundraising activities. Please consider supporting BASS financially or by volunteering your time. Any amount large or small makes a difference in our ability to help the animals. If you don't think you can work at the shelter we always need help on fundraisers, promoting adoptions and raising awareness of BASS in the towns we serve.
We can always use donations of the following items:
Canned cat and dog food
Dry cat and dog food
Bleach, dish and laundry detergent, hand soap
Meat baby food
Blankets and towels
Leashes and collars
Foster homes and volunteers
