A New Leash On Life Dog Rescue
About Our Rescue Group
We are an all volunteer dog rescue organization started in 2002. Our mission is to provide safe refuge for stray, abused, neglected and owner-surrendered dogs. In addition, our organization works to rehabilitate dogs (medically and/or behaviorally) to aid in finding them carefully screened permanent, safe and loving homes where they will live as companion animals. We also educate the community and promote involvement with regard to animal welfare issues.
Come Meet our Pets
All of the puppies and dogs in our program are in foster homes - we do not have a central location. We hold adoption events every other Sunday at the Brier Creek PetSmart from 1-3 pm. Our schedule is posted on our website.
Our Adoption Process
An adoption application is required. Veterinary references will be checked, as well as apartment/townhouse rental references. A home visit may or may not be required. A contract must be completed and an adoption fee paid prior to finalization of an adoption.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog
or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from
a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
