About Our Shelter:

The City of Denton Animal Shelter is a temporary home to lost, unwanted and stray animals. Part of the Denton Police Department, the Animal Services Unit has full time officers who help citizens care for their pets in many ways.

Animals of all sorts spend time with us, from newborn kittens to potbelly pigs.

Our goal is to ensure humane care while the animals are in our custody, enable adoptions to individuals and facilitate transfers to rescue organizations, and humanely euthanize animals as necessary.

Our Adoption Process:

Our adoption fee is
$110.00 for all cats/kittens,
$120.00 for all dogs/puppies

Rabies FDRT, & Feline Leukemia Vaccation, Fecal Testing for hook and round worms & Treament if necessary, Treatment for fleas & ticks, 1st dose of heartworm preventive, Treatment for ear mites, One overnight stay in hospital, Spay or Neuter, 2 week check up, suture removal, and Micro Chip

Rabies, Bordetella and DHLPP vaccinations, Fecal Testing for hooks and rounds & Treament if necessary
Occult Heartworm Testing, 1st dose of Heartworm preventive, Treament for fleas & ticks, One overnight stay in hospital, Spay or Neuter, Pre surgical pain medication, 2 week check up, suture removal
