About Our Rescue Group

4 Luv of Dog Rescue is an independent dog rescue based in Fargo, ND, devoted to rescuing and rehoming dogs. All of the dogs on this site come from shelters where they had run out of time. They are all wonderful, loving dogs who deserve a second or third chance at life and love. This rescue does not believe in breed discrimination and welcomes all breeds. Many of these dogs are in desperate need of foster homes. If you can offer one of these dogs a temporary loving home please contact Kish at 701-205-0190.

Our Adoption Process

There is a pre-adoption application, reference check, and home visit required prior to adopting an animal. There is an adoption donation/fee applied to all dogs. This fee ranges from $85-135. These fees help cover the veterinary care we have provided for the animals while they wait for homes. The fee also helps pay for the food and other general care we provide for the dogs. You must be 21 yrs or older to adopt a dog and can not live in a an area where there are dog breed bans. We do adopt to homes outside on the area, but there are special requirements for out of state adopters.

What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
