About Our Rescue Group:

PALS Animal Life Savers (PALS) is a 501c3 non-profit, no-kill feline rescue group staffed by volunteers. We are fully funded by donations and adoption fees. We also receive support from PetSmart Charities, who allow us to maintain an adoption center inside PetSmart in Salem, MA.

Over 90% of donations made to PALS go directly towards veterinary care for the felines.

Adoption applications can be found online at www.palscats.org, outside of our Adoption Center in PetSmart, or by emailing adoptions@PalsAnimalLifeSavers.com.

Our Adoption Process:

The PALS Adoption Center, located inside PetSmart at 10 Traders Way in Salem, MA (just off Highland Ave/Rte 107) is open Saturday and Sunday from 11AM-4PM or by appointment on Monday/Wednesday/Friday between 11AM-1PM. Adoption applications can be found online at www.palscats.org, outside of our Adoption Center in PetSmart, or by emailing adoptions@PalsAnimalLifeSavers.com. A completed application is not necessarily an approved application. We do ask for written landlord approval if you rent, or proof of home ownership (water bill, etc.) We will also check your vet references.

Adoption fees are based on the age of the cat and range from $225 (kittens) down to $50 (seniors.) We accept cash, checks and credit cards.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
