About Our Rescue Group:

PALS Animal Life Savers (PALS) is a 501c3 Non-Profit, no-kill animal shelter staffed by volunteers. We are fully funded by donations and organized fundraisers. We are dedicated to helping homeless cats.
All of our volunteers want to find appropriate homes for the lost, stray, abandoned, abused or surrendered felines. Our animals are currently being housed at the PetSmart Adoption Center in Salem, MA. Although we are located within PetSmart we are funded totally by your donations. The volunteers of PALS Animal Life Savers hold as our foundation the health and welfare of our animals. We are committed to promoting high standards of quality animal care through proper medical treatment, nutrition, exercise, socialization and placement. PALS Animal Life Savers strives to maintain these standards by providing assistance, educational material and/or training for our volunteers and adopters.

Come Meet our Pets:

PALS is located inside the PetSmart store at 10 Traders Way, Salem, MA. We have adoptions every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM. You can come and fill out an application for preapproval or download an application from our web site. You may also contact us by email and we will send an application to you to fill out and return to us via return email.

Our Adoption Process:

Adopters must fill out an application for approval and be able to come meet the prospective adoptee at our Adoption Center on the weekend. The adoption fee varies by age and ranges from $200 (kittens) to $125 (seniors) Although PALS is not set up to take credit cards, we do have a PayPal account where the adopter(s) can use debit cards, credit cards, or their PayPal account, if they have one, to charge the adoption fee. Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
