Mission Statement for A Little Patch of Heaven Animal Rescue

A Little Patch of Heaven Animal Rescue Information

The mission of A Little Patch of Heaven Animal Rescue, is to rescue and supply any K9 or feline, regardless of age or medical condition, with love, shelter, food, human companionship, medical care, and spay-neuter services through local veterinarians until permanent placement is secured into a pre-screened loving home, as long as the dog or cat is not dangerous to humans or other dogs.

A Little Patch of Heaven Animal Rescue will accept into rescue any K9 or feline who is either abandoned in a shelter or living with an owner who can no longer supply care. We also participate in rescue and placement of K9’s who are pulled from the Puppy Mills or purchased at Puppy Mill auctions.

We wish to eliminate the euthanasia of any healthy, adoptable K9 and feline in our county. We do not accept euthanasia as a means of population control for animals. We believe each K9 and feline’s life is meaningful and each deserves a loving home.

Educating and informing the public about the commercial dog industry in America and about responsible pet ownership is also very important to us, as well as reviving the spirit of volunteerism across our country.

A Little Patch of Heaven Animal Rescue is composed of approximately 6 people, and volunteers that are willing to foster, transport, or otherwise assist in this massive rescue effort. We are supported entirely by donations and fund raisers.

Our vision: We hope to see a day when there is no longer a market for puppies sold in the pet shops of America. Then and only then, will the suffering endured by thousands of companion animals in the puppy mills of America, cease.

Our Future Goal: Our goal is to ensure that no K9 or feline is forced to live his or her life in a Puppy Mill or needlessly euthanized anywhere in America because of the lack of medical care or an available, loving home.

Our Adoption Process
We have an adoption application that needs to be fill out and submitted. After it has been received you will usually receive a phone call from a member of our staff within 72 hours. During this phone call we may request additional information, we will also let you know if you have been approved for the adoption. After you have been approved, you will need to sign an adoption agreement at the time you pick up your new pet.

We have a set adoption fee for canines of $50.00
and the adoption fee for felines is $15.00

The adoption fee for the dogs includes there first set of shots if a puppy, or booster shot if over 1 year of age, it also includes there worming.

This is all kept in a health record chart which is transferred to the new owners.

We also offer microchipping for $24.95. This includes injecting the chip, and registration of your pet before leaving our location..

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
