Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:Whiskers Animal Benevolent League is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit
organization registered with the New York State Charities Registration
Bureau. We are a small, all volunteer-run, no-kill animal shelter in
Albany, New York.
Here at Whiskers we believe every life is meaningful and worth saving. We go the extra mile to do whatever it takes to make each cat and kitten's life we commit to the best it can be. Every cat and kitten we take in gets Whiskers lifetime pledge to be there for them for their entire lives if need be.
About Our Rescue Group:Our mission is to provide abandoned, abused, and stray animals with a place of comfort, safety, and health and ultimately find them loving, responsible, permanent homes. We specialize in helping animals that have no advocate, those that have been abandoned on the streets or who have been abused. Secondly, we seek to reduce the population of unwanted companion animals by arranging for their spay/neutering prior to their adoption or through our Spay/Neuter & Release program. Finally, we seek to provide information to the public on how to better provide for and enjoy their companion animals.
To help fulfill our mission, Whiskers operates a shelter and maintains foster homes for housing lost, homeless, abandoned, injured or sick animals. We conduct fund-raising activities, solicit public contributions, and sell donated items to raise money to pay for the veterinary bills to alter, vaccinate, and restore health to these companion animals.

Our Adoption Process:Our adoption fee is currently $50. We ask everyone to fill out an application to enable us to make a good match between the cat or kitten and the adopter.
All of our cats and kittens are neutered or spayed prior to adoption, have age appropriate vaccines and have been tested for FeLV and FIV.
We have many wonderful adult cats and kittens looking for homes. Please consider stopping by and meeting some of them. We're sure one of them will pick you for their new home!
Call 518-448-9565 and leave a message or email for more information.
