We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties: We are a foster home based dog rescue group located in Southeastern Indiana. We require potential adopters to travel to us to meet the dog they are interested in. We take in dogs from anywhere and from all sorts of situations, such as from shelters, from families who can't keep their dog, from vet offices, etc.

About Our Rescue Group

We spay or neuter every animal in our care. There are many dogs in our area who are never adopted - we will not take a chance that someone we adopt out with reproduce, making the pet over population problem even worse. The dogs in our care live in our homes with us which enables us to know them better, hopefully then making a better match with a family. They are also housetrained and crate trained that way, or at least beginning the processes, if necessary.

Our Adoption Process

Potential adopters complete our adoption application. We review the application and verify vet references. If the application is acceptable and seems to be a good match for the dog in our care, we contact the potential adopter to gather more information and to answer any questions about the dog and/or the process. If everything is acceptable on both sides, we schedule an adoption appointment. If at the appointment everyone agrees it's a good match, the family can sign the adoption application, pay the adoption fee, and take the dog home with them.

What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
