Faithful Friends Animal Rescue-Rochester Hills

Faithful Friends Animal Rescue is a foster based rescue group. We do not own a shelter. The animals we have up for adoption live in foster homes and live "normal" lives while in foster care. This way, we are able to evaluate their personalities, ascertain what issues (if any) may need work and what type of forever home would be best. Our goal is to ensure that these animals find their perfect forever home so they never have to worry about being homeless again.

So many great natured, well behaved pets find themselves homeless everyday, through no fault of their own and it is incredibly sad to know that many will never have an opportunity to get a second chance. This is what drives the volunteers at Faithful Friends -- to aid the unfortunate creatures who cannot speak for themselves.

The animals we have up for adoption were homeless for various reasons. Some come from shelters where they were either surrendered by their owners or where they were taken in as a stray. Some come to us directly as strays - lucky enough to have crossed our path. Others came to us because their owners either could care for them or no longer wish to care for them. A variety or reasons and in most cases, the reasons have nothing to do with behavior issues.

Faithful Friends is a registered 501(c)(3) charity which means those willing to donate to our cause have the ability to write off their donations. Donations are the life blood of any rescue organization and help us continue saving the lives of many needy animals. We know times are tough, but even a small donation would help our cause.

Additional adoption info

Pre-Adoption Application - Faithful Friends works via an application process. Anyone interested in adopting one of our animals completes our pre-adoption application. Filling this application out does not obligate you to adopt the animal in question but it does provide Faithful Friends with important information about the applicant's lifestyle and pet history to ensure that they are matched with an animal that will fit into their lives with ease and which hopefully, will ensure that the animal never has to find itself in the shelter system again.

Home Visit - If it's determined that the applicant is a good match for the animal, a volunteer from Faithful Friends will come visit you in your home. We do try to bring the animal the person has applied for to a home visit but there are times when this is not possible depending on where the applicant lives and the schedules of our volunteers. This stage of the adoption process gives us a better feel on where the animal will be living and the lifestyle of the person or family that would like to adopt the animal.

The entire adoption process from start to finish can take as little as a day or two or as much as a week depending on people's schedules. We hope that you will understand that bringing a new pet into your home should not be an impulse decision and that waiting a few days will help ensure that you are adopting the right pet.

ADOPTION FEES:
Our adoption fees are as follows and include, unless otherwise stated: all vaccines, breed specific test (heartworm, feline leukemia, etc), microchip and spay/neuter. Puppies under 4 months of age will go out on a spay/neuter contract but as long as they are taken to our vet, Faithful Friends will pay for their sterilization.

Adult Dogs - $175
Senior Dogs (9+ Years) - $125
Small Breed Adult: - $250
Puppies - $275 (includes spay/neuter cost)

KITTEN SPECIAL!!
Adopt one kitten for $50 and get a second kitten for free! Includes the cost of first vaccines and spay/neuter of your kitten. Our normal costs are $75 for each kitten or two for $125 so this is a real deal!! Adult cats are $75 or two for $125 and includes vaccines/spay/neuter.
