About Our Rescue Group:

Little Buddies is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue group. We rescue homeless animals primarily from local shelters. We also take homeless animals found to be living outdoors. We spay/neuter all animals before adoption. We also provide public funds for veterinary care and spay/neuter of homeless animals. In addition, we do public education regarding animal-related issues.

On Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th we will be having adoption events 9 AM - 4 PM at the National Capital Cat Show at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, VA. For more information about the cat show go to

On all other weekends we do adoption events every Saturday at the Reston Pet Valu at 11130 S. Lakes Dr. Suite D in the South Lakes shopping center in Reston, VA 20191 from noon until 3 PM.


Our Adoption Process:

We have an adoption application. After references are checked, we bring the adopted animal to the new home. The adoption fee is $135 for a kitten, $120 for a cat over 6 months old and $60 for a cat over 2 years old. This adoption fee includes the spay/neuter.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
