About Our Rescue Group
The Beaufort Community Cat Project is an all-volunteer organization advocating non lethal methods to reduce the free-roaming cat population using Trap-Neuter-Return. To reduce and prevent animal suffering by stabilizing and ultimately reducing free-roaming cat populations. To reduce the number of feral and stray cats entering the local animal shelter from eastern Carteret County, NC. To assist with the logistics and financing of humanely capturing and transporting free-roaming cats to a veterinarian for sterilization and vaccinations and ensuring their safe return. To inform cat colony caretakers and pet owners of the importance of sterilization and vaccinations, and the availability of local veterinary resources.
